Cherry Road Winery — Restaurant in Tuscarawas Township

This review is way overdue as we visited the Cherry Road Winery about two months ago back on 6/19/2025. Fred & Judy (the owners) were wonderful and gave us first-class treatment! Background: We live in Centerville OH, and a local store in Kettering OH used to sell their "OH" (red wine) and "IO" (white wine), which we fell in love with! It's the perfect gift for family and friends! Once that store went out of business, we researched and discovered where this wonderful wine comes from ... the Cherry Road Winery in Massillon OH. So along with a visit to Canton (to the McKinley Museum and Pro Football Hall of Fame), we made a special side trip to the Cherry Road Winery. Not knowing when we'll make the 3-hr trip back to Massillon, we decided to buy a case of each (12 bottles of "OH" (red) and 12 bottles of "IO" (white)). Fred & Judy had always been very responsive to our texts, so we were looking forward to meeting them in person. They were great hosts and a wonderful couple who took some time out of their running around to share with us the story of how their business came about. In addition to the bottles of wine, we bought two of their 11x15 cutting boards which display the "OH" "IO" wine bottle labels. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit there and will definitely be back! We've already made a road trip to family in GA and gave them a couple of bottles of each, which they, too, loved! Attached are snapshots of the wine bottles and cutting board. My friends and I had found this winery at the Kent Wine festival earlier in the summer. We really liked a few of the wines, and wanted to visit the winery sometime. We saw they were having a music bingo night and thought it would be fun to go. We made the proper reservations and drove an hour to check the winery out. The winery itself is very well kept. We enjoyed our wine and the entertainment. The young server behind the bar and the two gentlemen running the bingo were very nice and welcoming. The only reason I gave this a four-star was the owner was a bit rude. I understand it was chaotic as there were many people inside and out, as it was originally to be outside but the weather changed those plans . However she was a bit short with people and her facial expressions let you know she was irritated. Again i wouldnt not give this winery a try nor will i not go back. I just hope in a different non chaotic setting the owner will be...

One of our very first places to visit when we moved to Massillon last year, was this goregous winery! We have attended a few times sense then, and every single time, we leave happy and enjoyed our time spent. We have been able to experience food trucks, live music, bingo night (we randomly decided to go one night, not knowing bingo was going on and they invited us to play, and it was SO FUN!) They made us feel so welcomed during BINGO night, even though we weren't very good at it! Wine is delicious, the scenery is beautiful and most importantly, the staff is incredible! I would recommend following their social media pages to keep up with all the fun stuff they have going on, and calling ahead of time to make sure they have open space for you! They're pretty packed during their "special" nights! Thanks for all you do Cherry...
