First time here - love the fish! We were staying in the area for a few days with family and we wanted to go out for a Friday Night Fish Fry. Our cousin knew of the Blue Goose and assumed they had fish. He was right. As we walked in (around 4:30 pm on the 4th of July), it was loud. This was due to a large group standing about, about to leave. Once they were gone and we were seated at a low 4-top table in a corner by the arcade games, the noise level was great. A server was by within a few minutes of us sitting down. We’ looked over the menu already, so we placed our drink and dinner order with her. She was very pleasant. We ordered: - Fried Cod with Fries and Coleslaw - Fried Walleye with Fries and Coleslaw - Fried Catfish Tacos with Potato Pancakes and Apple Sauce - We had beers too: Summer Shandy x 2 and Spotted Cow The beer was cold and refreshing. The food came maybe 10 minutes later. I had the 2-pc Fried Walleye and it was fabulous! Two large filets, lightly breaded and fried to perfection. And so tasty. Our cousin had the Cod and enjoyed it as well. My wife had the Fried Walleye Tacos and enjoyed them too. As this was her first time here, she didn’t know the tacos would come completely dressed with the coleslaw on the tacos already or she would have ordered the coleslaw on the side. Her potato pancakes were very good. And while the rustic, hand-cut fries were good, I liked the potato pancakes more and will get them next time. My wife and I each took half our meals home and will enjoy them for lunch tomorrow. We had a few questions about the area and asked random staff who passed by and they always knew the answers. Can’t say enough for how friendly the team here was today. We can recommend the Blue Goose for drinks and food - especially the Fried Walleye! I hope we make it back here on our next visit to the area.

Picked the Blue Goose for Friday fish fry based on good reviews. It was great. Wasn’t necessarily planning on an evening of all fried food, and the whole menu actually sounds pretty awesome. Cheese curds are light and airy. Fried mushrooms tasted like classics. Both cod and walleye are available for fish fry and they’re hand battered in house. We didn’t have a preference - both were good. Same with potato pancakes vs fries, everyone liked them both. Reasonable prices and friendly service. Patio is the move on a warmer day as indoors does not seem to be air conditioned , or maybe it’s just that the kitchen is giving off too much heat. Quiet and breezy, we enjoyed relaxing outside on a Friday night.

Amanda and her staff were very attentive and friendly. We had the smash burgers and they were delicious! The cheese curds had a unique and tasty batter! Absolutely loved the chocolate strawberry martini! Very creative drink menu. Hubby loved the wide variety of specialty beers. Atmosphere was fun and laid back. We were able to reserve a table for our group. Nicely remodeled inside! Will definitely go back and get loose at the Goose!!

This tavern has been completely renovated recently, and the new vibe/feel to the place makes it hard to leave.

The owners; Myk and Amanda are really down to earth, and take the time to get to know the people that come to visit. Myk and Amanda might be the best feature of the Blue Goose, although this place has many more features to enjoy.

Unique, made fresh made food, a variety of drink options at affordable prices, live music, pool tables, and slot machines are among some of the fun things to be enjoyed. Grab a beer and head out to the outdoor section to enjoy the summer air, and catch a beautiful sunset. Make some new friends, or meet up with old friends; and shoot the breeze over a cold one- as the atmosphere can feel intimate, but also with room to breathe if you'd like. A setting like this seems to draw a myriad of friendly locals and out of towners alike.

I personally don't even drink alcohol, but I enjoy the Blue Goose just as much, due to the atmosphere amd great...

We visit this place every single week, and it never disappoints. The food is absolutely phenomenal—consistently fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Whether we’re trying something new or sticking to our favorites, every dish is a hit.

The service is just as impressive. The staff is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They remember us, treat us like family, and always go the extra mile to ensure we have a great experience.

And the atmosphere? Simply amazing. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy great conversation, and truly feel at home. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between cozy and vibrant.

This spot has become a weekly tradition for us, and it’s easy to see why. If you’re looking for a place that delivers consistently excellent food, outstanding service, and an unbeatable...
