Country Pub — Restaurant in Unadilla Township

This pub used to be one of our favorites. We moved out of the area but frequent back this way during riding season so we like to stop in. Service is definitely not like it used to be, very slow, and once she finally did come to our table my husband asked what the market price was on the NY strip since they didn’t have it listed anywhere and our server/ bartender immediately got annoyed and says well let me go check rudely walks away to go check. Waited and waited as she I think purposely wanted to make us wait as she continued to tend to the regulars at the bar. When we did get our food the steak was very undercooked not med well like my husband ordered. He had to walk the $27 steak back up to her at the bar to get cooked more since she never came back to check on us.. he gets it back it’s still bright red sends it back again, she brings it back and places his plate down in front of him and rudely says let’s seeee if it is good the 3rd time around as if my husband is the problem. The whiskey and come does not come in a whiskey glass or an iced mugged like before it now comes in a tall pop glass with very little whiskey a lot of pop and barely no ice. $8.00 for the shot and .25 cents more for the pop she said. Weak expensive mixed drinks there now. We miss the old crew and cook Cole things have definitely gone down and unfortunately we won’t be back. This is a screenshot from a video I took, I got home about 3 am after drinking, with my Chicken Bacon Ranch wrap, I thought there was a strange piece of lettuce, turned out the toothpick broke inside of my wrap and was inside my mouth! Thankfully I hadn’t had To Much to drink or I could’ve choked to death, I live alone which makes the entire event even more traumatic.

The staff focuses on their friends or who they think will tip more. Making comments like “it’s not Burger King, you don’t get it your way” but you expect them to Tip You!? Burger King doesn’t even get tipped and they’ll make it “Your Way”. The pans have an inch of “glass” food gunk COOKED to the bottoms of them, if you get a stomach ache after eating here that is why! The post about this place needing to be closed down for health purposes is no joke! They cater to the same customers everytime like “oh they tip good” and that’s all they care about. The Owner Bobby Taylor lies, pays under the table (no wonder the staff has no worries, no taxes!)

Overall I would not recommend to anyone.

We've been here quite a few times but stopped going because of slow service. We gave it another try yesterday after about a year & nothing has changed. Service is still slow. We waited well over 30 minutes just to order. Servers walked passed us many times but didn't stop to take our order, we had to stop them. We had to go up to the bar to get our bill, cause no one came over after we were done eating. My husband also got a nasty piece of fish on his chicken tender plate. We had our 3 kids with us & we were there for over 1.5 hours, just for lunch. We won't be back with kids. Definitely not a family friendly place, which is unfortunate because there is not much around here. Kids don't sit that long, there's no kids menu & the price you pay for the quality of food & service...
