Small town tavern/bar with the most unique story and history to boot. The menu provides a wide variety of tasty and delicious main courses, along with appetizers and desserts. You will not be disappointed by the short drive to satisfy your taste buds. We'll start with the 3 Little Pig Nachos. OMG! Just a touch of heat, sweet bbq, the chips, jalapeños, and all the fixins make a meal in itself that's really hard to share with the others because it's sooo delicious. I had the pork tender with Mals homemade Mac and cheese. The pork tender was the standard pre made from frozen sandwich. But to complement the sandwich with the mac and cheese was nothing less than heaven. Creamy, cheesy, thick and golden. A must have with any of their dishes. The cowboy burger- pepperjack, Texas bacon, jalapeños, onion,and bbq sauce...Holy balls! What a burger! The Hawaiian burger- Pepper jack, chopped bacon, grilled pineapple slice, crispy onion rings, with bacon habanero jam spread....Mouthful of explosive flavors, The Cajun chicken pasta- absolute Cajun flavor with a kick of the Cajun heat mixed. If spicy is your thing, this is your dish baby!, Grilled teriyaki chicken over Mals mac and cheese. Two staples that they make if you want it your way. Perfectly tasty! To finish off the tavern dining experience, it was recommended that we order off menu and go for the Fried Oreos covered Peanut butter sauce and powdered sugar. This dessert is like walking down a carnival fairway and enjoying the sweetest thing that's offered! If you're going to travel to Mal's do not miss this one! Mal's is located in Unidilla, Nebraska. Just east of Lincoln. Known for Unidilla Bill forecasting groundhog day and the parade. It's a must attend as well. A great experience, great food, great service and great people. Great place...

40 mins south of West Omaha is the small town of Unadilla, Ne. I recommend you get out for a country drive and go to Mal’s Bar and Mal's Bar and Grill and give them a try.

I found the place looking on Google Maps searching for a bar and grill outside of the normal area. The place is nice and still retains that small town feel. We sat at the bar and were greeted right away. We ordered the Cajun shrimp deviled eggs for an appetizer. The bartender said they are made in house. They were different, yet sooooo good ! For our meals we also ordered what she recommended - the Beer Cheese Burger - a burger with beer cheese, fried onion strings on a pretzel bun. We also had Mal’s Mac & cheese with the bbq pork belly burnt ends. The burger was AMAZING. I’ve never had a burger with beer cheese. The mac n cheese - epically good ! It had a liquidy gooeyness to them. The bbq pork belly on it was really tender, sweet and smoky.

On our way out we saw a bald Eagle flying over head - just before the 4th of July - way cool.

This is an awesome small town bar with attentive friendly staff! I ordered the homemade pork rinds with pimento cheese side and 5 Jamaican Jerk wings- the pork rinds were outstanding!! a must try if you like pork rinds at all! The wings though were less than desirable tasted old way overcooked and you couldn't even really taste the Jamaican jerk seasoning! Overpriced at $9.95 for 5! I could only eat two of them they were that bad and I love wings ! If it weren't for the wings this would be a five-star review !But I will definitely make a return visit to this bar and try some other items on the...
