My wife and I stopped in earlier today after doing some business in Van Wert. We had checked this place out in the "Ohio on Tap Magazine". The first thought was on how nice the parking was. Being a Tuesday afternoon, we were able to park at the front door where there were plenty of spaces. Upon walking in, we were greeted by the staff warmly. The place is spotless. We ate at the bar so we could talk to Jen who was tending that day. She recommended the flat bread which is fantastic and plentiful. We also tried the Jalapeno bread bites and a 5 piece order of wings. Those items were very good and filling as well. Ethan was working the kitchen and did a great job of preparing our meal. We each had a flyte of 4 brews. Jen did a good job of describing the choices and I have to say that we were not disappointed with any of them. There is plenty of room for dining in both the main eating area and the tavern side as well. I am not an easy sell on going to new places. I will however recommend the BrewWerks with 5 plus stars. While they are not located in or near any large towns, however, they are easy to get to going north from Van Wert as we did. Take a relaxing drive and give them a try. You'll be...
Read moreWriting this review as I sit in the restaurant.. I was hoping to go to the pizza place in town based on a colleagues recommendation, but it wasn't open. I'm visiting Kalida on a work trip and am so glad I hopped across the street and came in here. My chef salad with grilled chicken and ranch was exactly what I needed - perfectly satisfying. Don't forget to get the cheesy bread, too. Cheese, garlic, bread... A girl needn't nothing more. The staff has been very friendly and helpful, the manager made a trip around when it was busier to make sure everyone was enjoying their food and experience. As he greeted me, he saw my laptop out and made sure I was able to get connected to the wifi and assured me I could stay as long as I need. Which is great, because I've had a couple hours to kill. I will be thinking about my salad and cheesy bread until I'm able to get back here and visit my clients again...
Read moreNice brewery and diner, that appears to be a new or refurbished building. I stopped early in the afternoon as i was passing thru, and was glad I did. They were doing some very good lunch business, so I went for the lunch buffet, which was a great deal, with the pizza and salad bar. I tried one of their beers, a Roadie Red ale that had a tasty roasted flavor, that i enjoyed. I will need to go back when i can try out some more food and brews. Having not been here in a while, I brought some family and friends. Everyone enjoyed appetizers and drinks, while placing a pin in the map board from the state...
