Broadway Grille — Restaurant in Union Township

The food is always great. Service and professionalism of the staff is far from that. Our last two visits have been ruined by the service staff.

A month ago we sat at the bar and got the pleasure of listening to one of the girls talk about how the “Waitress Manager” was a meth head and in the hospital. Also about how terrible the Manager and owner were. Then we got to hear her and another waitress argue about who was leaving first. (Yes right behind the bar, I guess the kitchen or outside was too far away).

Last Friday our server (Terri) was great. She was very friendly and prompt. She handled a kitchen misshap with the table behind us very well. Our food was great, as always. The other waitress on the other hand, was absolutely awful. As if listening to her yell “Terri” from the front of the dining room to the kitchen when Terri is getting her food and drinks wasn’t enough unprofessionalism, she stopped in the middle of taking an order (at the square table right inside the front door, to kiss her boyfriend who grabbed her as he walked in), then went back to her guests.

Really thinking about getting our food to go next time.

But huge kudos to Clark, Tyler and the rest of the kitchen staff. Without you guys that place wouldn’t be worth going to. Poor service and extremely high prices....

I don't do reviews, I think it's unfair to judge an establishment over one bad experience. However, this review has been years in the making. This was my family's go-to place, but over the years it has completely gone down hill. COVID isn't an excuse anymore, so I'm concerned about every time I walk in, there is a completely different wait staff. It seems no matter what we order, when we order it, or if it's dine in or take out, it is just plain not good. My wife and I dined there last night for our Valentine's Day dinner, and it was for the last time. I ordered the combo basket, and when I received it, the shrimp were obviously overcooked and hard as rocks. The fish was the same, and the filets size were miniscule compared to what I've had in the past. And on top of that, the parts of the fish that I could eat had absolutely no flavor. The cocktail sauce was mediocre at best. If I wanted ketchup, I would grab the ketchup bottle. I do not like to complain, so I stomached as much as I could until I felt as though I would vomit. My wife however asked for more shrimp, but by that point I was done. The few I could eat had absolutely no flavor, like the fish. Sometimes changing food suppliers to save a few dollars ends up costing you in the long run, which I feel...

Since the last reviewer hasn't been for at least 5 years, I'll give an updated review of the Broadway Bar and Grille. Broadway is now under new management since the poor review and it is completely different now. The food is fantastic and the service is 100x better than before. The atmosphere is very friendly with waitresses and bartenders that are welcoming. The service has always been excellent when we've eaten there. I would say it's safe to say we are regulars eating there at least 5x a month minimum. They have wonderful food ranging from burgers and pulled pork sandwiches to steak and mexican entrees. I would highly recommend eating here if you're looking for some good eats...
