Stopped here on Friday night. Made a special detour because it had been recommended by someone who goes there all the time. It turns out they always get the salad... and the salad was the only good part.

Let's start with the decor and layout. It does fit the name. Think of this more as a club (like a Moose or Eagle Lodge) rather than a restaurant, and you'll get the right idea on the atmosphere and quality of food. Which is fine if you like "Meh" and want a place to talk rather than a good meal.

I'd planned on ordering steak. But, as we walked through the door, the decor and layout made me realize they probably couldn't cook steak very well. So instead, I got a burger, with everything on it, and fries. My wife got wings, a baked potato, and a side salad.

The side salad was great, and the wings were fine. In all my wife's meal was OK, but nothing special.

The burger looked good when it came out. But when the waitress was surprised that I didn't want cheese, I should have realized the burger wouldn't have been seasoned right. And it wasn't. The burger and bun were large, so I cut it open. It was still pink inside. I didn't send it back because I'd already cut it in half. But as well as being undercooked, it had no flavor. It tasted like it had been boiled. And the fries were shoe string fries. It didn't say that on the menu, but if it had I wouldn't have ordered them.

Then came the bill....

The wings...had an upcharge for the sauce. The burger had an upcharge for having more than 2 toppings.

I hate this place. If you like going there, then god bless ya. I tried about 5 times. It's always the same, but this past time really made my mind up for good. They only like to have 1 waitress in their big dining room. So it takes 15 minutes to get any attention. Its so loud, I wish people had manners and kept their voices soft in crowded rooms, but hey. It was Tuesday, supposed to be half price burger day. But I guess they only offer their special past 5 o'clock. Well in between the 15-20 minutes, scratching my head over why I can't get the burger special at 1:30, the waitress brought us a couple pops. 10 minutes later she finally came over with her pad. I asked, what is your "daily lunch special" she said, oh we sold outta that a long time ago. Well I wasn't interested in paying out the butt for my lunch. I was frustrated and laid down my menu. She instantly got snappy with me, she said, "what's the problem, we don't have the lunch special?" I replied, "yes, what do I owe you for these?" pointing at the 2 untouched soft drinks. "$2 a piece," she responds "$4" So as I walk up to the bar and continue to wait several minutes, she passes by the other woman who was just ignoring me the whole time, and she says to her, "He's being a dick!" So yea. You got my $4 for nothing, but how many other people did you drive away for good with attitude?? Just because Danville is a small town doesn't mean people will put up with that sort of treatment It's only...

I do not normally give a negative review.... however... today we had to come to danville for a birthday party. I searched online for places that offered wifi services for customers. Google listed 3. One was a bar. One was a pizza shop. One was here. This is my 3rd time here. Honestly.... not a fan... most foods are fried. All definitely over salted... like the soup n fried pickles n fried (curds??? They're square!!! Never seen a square curd...okay... 4 minutes later... the cheese curds taste good...lol... )...that I ended up getting today. NO WIFI!!! Was suggested to drive to another town 20 minutes away...(I drove 24 from a different direction already)... I tried to order something... no longer available but still on menu. Oh! Yeah... fried things today? Burnt. So yes... keep driving...especially if you shouldn't have all this sodium n fried-ness. My apologies. ...
