McFly's Diner — Restaurant in Union Township

I would give it 0 stars if I could. Don’t waste your money on this place. I ordered over the phone (2 cheeseburger subs with everything and I got 2 small plain cheeseburger in old buns, 2 fish sandwiches with tartar sauce and got 2 small plain fish sandwiches with 1 drop of tartar sauce in the middle in old buns, 2 order breaded mushrooms which were burnt, a tuna and cheese sub and a Turkey and cheese sub might as well call it a lettuce sub with a few pieces/slices of whatever you ordered, 10 pieces sweet chili bone in wings super greasy, chicken fingers 3 pieces and overcooked all the fries super soggy) This costed me $86 and I left a 15% tip when I picked up the order not knowing what I was going to see when I opened the bags at home. You couldn’t ignore the disgusting look and disappointment in everyone’s face. I’d say even subway is 3 levels up from this place. If there wasn’t quite a drive to get there and back from where I live I would have went back with the entire order and have them give me my money back. This place was the worst I ever ate at. My spouse got loaded waffle fries. It comes with sour cream cheese whiz and bacon on it. We asked for the sour cream on the side.We sat there for a good 15 mins before getting them. While four tables were served their food and they came in way after us. Even with all that stuff on it. They were bland. 15 mins for bland crap is ridiculous. I then got a small salad which is supposed to come with tomato cucumber onion green olives and green pepper. I asked for no green olives and green pepper. Tomato and onion I had to chop that myself. The cucumber was missing. The salad came in a small soup bowl and somehow they charge $7.50 ! I ended up not even eating my salad because the lettuce was pink and brown and tasted sour ! And a salad dressing was watery. My spouse got meat lover stromboli. And the outside dough was a thin as pizza. crust. Also was burnet and crispy. For all what we got was $37 ! It was not even worth 20 ! I have been camping in the area for the last 6 years & I drove by many times.The name of the place always made me chuckle … never thought more than that. Now I’m so mad at myself that I never went earlier! A gem of a diner!!! This morning was my second visit. It’s super clean and cute inside! The first time we had lunch (just a couple of hoagies & loaded waffle fries to share). Both were DELICIOUS. This morning we had the breakfast and the portions were huge and so reasonably priced and it was FABULOUS! I was very impressed… not to mention that they know how to butter toast!! Diners usually just slap a bit of butter. Nope not them… crust to crust & all melted. It’s obvious they take pride in their food. Sadly we had our last trip at camp today & it’ll be a while until we are in the area again but I’ll definitely go back. Maybe even take a road trip just to go...
