The only thing that disappointed me about Taste is the Valley is how long it took me to find it. I made a 40 minute drive to see what I thought and it's the type of establishment that I love. It does sit back off the road a little so pay attention or you'll have to turn around and come back. The service was extremely friendly yet very genuine. It felt like this staff truly enjoys meeting and serving people. Every breakfast item is under $5. As I sat and waited for my order, I enjoyed watching the 3 varieties of Amish buggies casually going up and down the valley. My Zoom specialty sandwich was fresh and had a unique flavor. This establishment has the looks of simple but with a splash of excellence. The have discovered a balance of high standards that are expected in Belleville food yet still reaches past the traditional eateries. My first whiff was a pleasing aroma and the first bite confirmed the pleasureful sniff test. The coffee was excellent as well. That's plenty of positive things to say but I can't miss the opportunity to share the other observation that makes places special to me: the community. A table of older guys talking and greeting others, a table full of ladies, families, couples, and of course some just ordering and leaving. You could see the community taking place right before your eyes and I love that. It's the "IT" factor that I look for and they have it. It's simple, but it's the type of place that will bring me back again even if it is a 40 minute drive.

This little out-of-the-way Diner is a small scale dining room and kitchen with seating at tables with chairs... room for about 30 people or so. Super clean and neat with delicious food that had just what the name says. Their culinary skills are second to none! Walk in and order... find a table and go get your did when they call your name. Bus your own table on the way out. I'll do it again! Had the broccoli and cheese soup and a piece of Amish pumpkin pie! YUMMMM!

An all around winner! Our first experience at Pine Ridge Cafe was excellent. The staff explained several of the different menu items to us, and we were very pleased with both our drink and food selections. As an added bonus, the bathrooms are spotless! 10/10 I will be back.

This is a little cafe in the middle of Belleville. It's unpretentious and offers a range of sandwiches, cakes, coffee etc. If you're looking for fine dining this isn't the place to come. If you want a coffee and a cake and a chat with friends it's just fine.

They are open from early in the morning until 2pm. They can get crowded and if they get crowded service is naturally slower than when they aren't crowded.

Sep 15,2025: Google asked me to update my review. There's not much new to say, they're open until 4 now. The food is still good, the staff are still friendly and the coffee is still good.

There are a few tables in here so it's not necessarily somewhere you'd want to discuss confidential business or dark personal secrets but it's a nice enough place to catch up with friends over a very reasonably price...

This place is superb! I highly recommend it, as they serve delicious food and drink at GREAT prices. I am always impressed with my experience here. They have homemade, local eats that you may not find many other places. . .and an extensive menu. Their coffee drinks and morning brews are delicious and they offer coffee by the lb. On a busy day, you may expect a wait, but this is rare. They are situated in the heart of Belleville's shopping district and offer a cozy, comfortable atmosphere for a relaxing moment. I drive to Belleville just to eat here at times. They are wonderful and staff are friendly! Cash and card accepted...but bring cash for a tip! They do not...
