From the beginning, as soon as we walked in, I noticed 3 people just hanging out near the counter area. We were never greeted when we walked in and when the guy came over to seat us, he looked like he really didn't want to be there. As we were walking to our seat, an older lady just looked at us and kind of laughed. We get seated and the waitress comes over to take our order. She speaks so low that we can barely hear her. I have to ask her to repeat herself many times. She leaves then brings us our drinks along with salsa and chips. Our drinks tasted like they had some kind of cleaning chemical in it. I didn't finish my drink. The salsa was very runny. It wasn't chunky at all, like salsa should be. We get our food and my tacos had no seasoning on them. They were very bland. The whole time we are eating, the staff is just hanging out near the register area on their phones. Overall, a bad experience. However, I understand that it's a new restaurant. I will gladly try it again in 6 months to maybe a year to see if anything has...
Read moreWell, we drove out here twice and neither time did we get to eat. The first time was on a Saturday for the second weekend they were open. There was no leadership in the front of the house and no hostess to manage waiting patrons. We waited about 30 minuets when the people in front of us (had been there for 20 minutes before us) decided to leave. Many tables were waiting to pay but no one was taking thier payment or telling them where to go. Other tables were waiting for service...after no one acknowledged us we left as well... The second time was about 2 weeks later on a Tuesday. Thier facebook page didn't have thier hours listed, but Google had them as open. We drive out thinking it wouldn't be as busy. Got there and its "to-go orders only". If I wanted to-go I'd have gone to Taco Bell by my house instead of making the drive. Won't be back now. This is how most restaurants are in this area and its no wonder that they can't stay open or...
Read moreVisited Union City for the weekend and my grandma begged to check out this place. I will say I truly was impressed. Food was good, our server was sweet and patient with our larger party. The place filled up quickly and they worked as fast as they could to seat everyone. Truly I just couldnât believe the behavior of everyone waking in. I watched one couple leave after waiting a total of 3 minutes for a table, and the hostess be treated like garbage by several parties coming in, one about 20 deep when they couldnât be immediately seated, and another woman tapping the waitress on the shoulder in the middle of her taking an order asking for a table. Embarrassing, entitled and shameful behavior, but thatâs Onion City for you. Itâs a brand new establishment so try to be patient and actually act like a normal human who has been in public before. As for Rancho Alegre, keep up the good work,...
