Food great. Format not great. 5pm reservation. Arrived at 4:55. Door locked. Wouldn’t let us in. Gentleman opened the door said - sorry not ready give us to 5pm. Had to stand in the 10 degree cold weather. Line of 20ppl standing in cold on the curb til they unlocked door at 5:00pm Sharp. Yikes. Mind you this is for a $75pp dinner. You Couldn’t let us in, seat us and bring a glass of water to wait? Really had to Wait outside? Kinda ridiculous given this price. Since everyone was let in at once like cattle, we had to wait a second time in line to see hostess for seating. Get to our table, find a piece of paper with menu options, kinda-a-waitress-kinda-not says hello I’ll take care of you, when you know what you want go to the register to order it. (What was the “waitress” for?) So now we get in line again.....for the 3rd time since we arrived....and wait to order. So you order and pay and are asked to give a tip? I just waited in three lines, haven’t eaten, havent had a drink, haven’t had the service yet, and I have to leave a tip first? Wow. Yikes. Makes zero sense. Arrived, made to wait in 3 lines with my date, $180 chunked down ahead of time and now we sit and wait for food. Food great. Tiramisu was the only one lacking. It was a soup. Basically a bowl of liquor with minimal cake on top. You Could drink the tiramisu it was soo liquid. Couldn’t eat it. Guys your food is great but your format needs improvement at this price point. You had 800 people working. More than enough. Put another register terminal in the back. no reason the waitress couldn’t take our order and key it in. Why make your guests get up and wait in line like subway at this price point? Your relatively new. It’s a learning experience. I’m sure you’ll make improvements. Food is great. Too bad your in dumpy finleyville. Close that location. Move to south hills and you could charge more for your food and people would love it and that demographic would complain less about your pricing. Your prices are fair for what you get. Honestly you can get more than you charge for your food but given your market, your at the ceiling for sure. your location and format are holding you back from making huge money. Make it a traditional, full service white table cloth restaurant and move to south hills. You already have the talent and menu for it. Charge more, make...

V and V's is a culinary oasis in Finleyville, PA, offering an unparalleled dining experience that transcends the ordinary. Its more than just a restaurant; it's a sanctuary of flavor and warmth. Dare I say the best place to eat in the South hills!

With a steadfast commitment to fresh, chemical-free ingredients, their homemade comfort food, like the delectable pulled pork tacos and the freshest fish sandwiches, offers a gastronomic delight that caters to even the most sensitive stomachs. My family and I, despite our diverse and picky tastes, are weekly patrons, relishing in the joy of meals that feel both safe and indulgently satisfying. As someone with a sensitive stomach, I've struggled to find eateries that cater to my needs until V and V's came along. Their commitment to using fresh, chemical-free ingredients means I can enjoy a meal without worry.

But V and V's charm extends beyond its menu. The atmosphere radiates a homey, welcoming vibe, where each staff member treats you like family. The spinach and artichoke dip, served with heavenly bread pieces, has us skipping the chips and asking for more! And the cookies? Soft, delicious, and just like homemade. This place is a testament to the beauty of community-centric dining, where every dish is prepared with love and every visit feels like a celebration.

To the incredible team at V and V's, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your passion for food and community has not only won over our taste buds but has also created a dining haven that feels like home.

To everyone else, do yourself a favor and experience this gem. Join the ranks of those who have made V and V's a beloved weekly ritual. Here, you're not just a customer; you're family, and the exceptional culinary journey you'll embark on is one you'll want to repeat time...

Exceptional dinner catering and in-house pasteries / cake. We were blown away by the quality and quantity of a dinner V&V Scratch Kitchen catered in our home for 12 guests on December 22. Chef Martin and his catering head/pastry chef Julia created the perfect menu for us from a brief phone conversation. We had a four course meal of wedding soup (best I’ve ever had), pecan cranberry brie spinach salad, wild mushroom ravioli, and incredibly tender roasted chicken with a side of roasted brussels sprouts, followed by a decadent birthday cake made beautifully in-house by Julia (almond cake batter with strawberry filling and a cream cheese icing with Oreo crumbs for my son’s 3rd birthday). Delivery was on time and included set up with chafing dishes. All food was custom made from scratch and you could really tell. I’ll never cook for a dinner party again because the food was just that good. And by the time I would have paid for groceries, developed my own menu, and cooked for 2 days, I would have certainly spent more time and money. I’m considering have 6-8 people over for two occasions in 2019 and will most certainly use V&V for those events again. I love that they locally source most ingredients and prioritize sustainable fish and meats without antibiotics and hormones. If you want to serve your guests a top notch dinner that tastes more homemade than catered, I highly recommend V&V Scratch Kitchen. A HUGE thank you to Chef Martin, Julia, and the entire staff at V&V for making the dinner party for our son’s birthday better than we could...

Took a drive to check out a new place, so happy we did! I love the vision of this restaurant, and they execute it perfectly(all you need to know if you don't want to read my book). Greeted by Frank who was not only knowledgeable about the menu but also extremely friendly and patient while having an almost contagious energy. I prefer a full service restaurant, it's all about the experience for me. But this place just WORKS! Water was already at our table before we sat down, glasses were provided for our BYOB promptly after. Food was timed appropriately, I almost wish it took more time so I could continue to enjoy my first experience here at V&V. Our meals were spectacular, fresh and cooked perfectly. smoked wings are a challenge, these were still juicy with all the flavor you are looking for(not pictured due to being immediately devoured). My lobster was slightly tough, but could have been due to the size of the Crustacean not how it was prepared. Toasted on 5 sides!?!? AMAZING! (Will opt for the crab cake next time, I heard great things)The veggies were bright and crisp, both steaks cooked to our liking and full of flavor. Creme brulee had the appropriate amount of burnt sugar (no one ever makes it thick enough, these people get it) servers checked on us multiple times, Frank even came around to make sure all was well, bringing me a side of homemade ranch for my crispy but fluffy waffle fries. My only complaint was they didn't clear our empty beer cans from the table. We will be back and hopefully often.

It doesn’t get much better than V&V. This will be my longest review to date :) We had so many different dishes on various visits. It’s hard to decide which one to highlight. All dishes are well balanced, perfectly seasoned with fresh ingredients. The menu constantly changes. Here we go: The salads are super fresh, usually feature pickled onions, tomatoes, cucumbers and whatever else is in season. The dressing is yummy :) One time we had a Moroccan stew. So yum. Today we had the lentil stew with ham. With big chunks of carrots. It was well seasoned. We also had the fish sandwich which was Cajun grouper on a brioche with a delicious Remoulade and pickled onions. My husband had the Reuben on thick grilled bread with the right amount of cheese. We often choose to not get the fries , but upgrade to a salad. The picture is from one our visits during lent. The fried fish was out of this world. I got the sandwich without the bun. After lunch we go back to the counter and get cookies to go. Our favorites are the everything cookie and chocolate chip. Today we also got the key lime cheese cake. It’s heavenly!! I love that their takeout containers are earth friendly and compostable! The service is always super friendly and courteous. Portions are appropriate, sometimes big. I feel that you get very good quality and a great experience for your money. Love love love V&V.

Honestly, I hope I'm not dreaming, but there is a great restaurant in Finleyville! Yes, Finleyville!!! It's about time don't you think??? This is not a chain restaurant; no...everything is made from scratch! You will immediately sense that this restaurant only serves high quality food! Yes, you must pay for it...but it is so worth it! And the staff are professional and friendly! We purchased one of the Chef's choice for the night, which was the salmon! Nice sized portions I might add with a side of garlic mashed potatoes and seared cauliflower! The Salmon was cooked to perfection as it was tender, flavorful and juicy! It was served with an unbelievable array of a salad mix with a light vinaigrette . Then, to top this all off, they offer a wonderful line of homemade deserts. Yes, you read those words correctly; homemade! Can you believe they have a pastry chef on staff? What no frozen desserts that they heat up in a microwave? Please don't let me wake up and realize this is not true!!! We all need to support this family venture! We deserve a great restaurant here!!! So grateful to all of them for investing in Finleyville! I attached a photo of our meal as we took it out!
