I was skeptical of this this place at first. It seems nice and all, but when I decide to go out to eat, I want a nice, relaxing, quiet dinner with great food and great service. I don't enjoy being disturbed while dining unless it's my server.
So, naturally, the thought of being attacked by ninjas who can run at the speed of sound really put a damper on my excitement to visit. So, I developed a plan. Everyone knows that in a fight, a Pirate always beats a Ninja...
So, I traveled to the Caribbean and sought out anyone who could help. Luckily, as a former seafarer thanks to my time in the Navy, I already had some experience and knowledge of the tides. I found a crusty old man with long white beard. He had a hook hand, a peg leg, and two eye patches. The parrot on his shoulder said, "Yarrr matey. Be ye lookin fer a pirate? Thisun here be that." I knew I had found my teacher.
Over the course of two years, Captain Peghook Noeyes taught me everything I needed to know. I could slacken the braces, I could tack to port or starboard, and I could sheet home. I was ready. I sailed back under a fair wind and made port in Myrtle Beach, and after paying the harbor master his doubloons, I made my way to Naruto.
Sword on my hip, flintlock loaded and primed, I stepped inside. What followed was a pleasent dinner with no ninjas in sight. Which, of course, is the entire point. As a pirate, I knew I would only win if I saw them coming. To my great joy howevrr, I dined unmolested, left several more doubloons on the table, and went on my way.
Theong and short of it be, I recommend this...
Read moreJust had lunch there for the first time. The food was not bad; however, having gone for the lunch special sushi rolls, I found that there was more fluff than substance. With the eel roll for instance, you can barely taste the eel, just barely, and what you get more so is the taste of rice and the heavy sauce they pour over the roll. It was pretty similar for the other rolls. The spicy crab was ordered from the regular menu, and once again, it was tasty, but the crab was either barely there or overwhelmed by the additions such as, the spice, the panko flakes, etc. I must say, the soy sauce was not the best either, as far as Japanese restaurant standards go. Overall, okay experience, but more like candy sushi than authentic sushi in my opinion. However, as other posters have mentioned, it is in Union after all so perhaps it's not so bad. The food is fresh, and I do highly recommend the...
Read moreOverall the food be good but I believe I did not get what I ordered. I ordered the rock n roll sushi and this is what I received and this is not it. So disappointed. I was ready to leave a great review but the fact I feel played makes me second guess ever going back. I was going there once a week.
Updated after eating it: I had to throw 4 away, it tasted very old and spoiled. Very bad taste, I wasted 14 bucks. Definitely will not go back. Unless I'm feening for general...
