I’ve never had a restaurant argue with me saying I called and cancelled my order! They were adamant, telling me over and over that I ordered 6 pizzas, not 3, and my last name started with a B and that some lady called and cancelled the order. Lots of detail, good for you, but not my order. I get it, mistakes happen, you screwed up. Don’t smirk at me that we called the wrong store, we didn’t, they checked. Don’t pick some tickets out of the garbage, and quickly put them back, likely realizing you threw out my order. Then continue to tell me I’m wrong, just my guess there, I’m sure I’m wrong about this. The pizza is great but you wouldn’t stop telling me the order that I didn’t make and then cancelled due to my dinner plans changed. Incredibly frustrating encounter after staying with you through your opening pains, 1/4 of our orders weren’t correct, one pizza was folded over in the box since it was a football shaped pizza, you let that leave the store. Last few orders have been great. I rolled with all those problems without flinching, I knew you’d work it out but this arrogant conversation was enough for me. I know I should have just walked out instead of engaging with ridiculous behavior, that’s on me. Won’t do it again. I’d rather go somewhere else the next time I’m told what I said and did but never really happened....
Read moreI came out for a late lunch during the pizza week and to my surprise the place was fairly empty. No staff behind the bar but I seated there anyway. A young waitress finally arrived and I ordered a beer (I was excited they had Peroni on tap!!) The gal disappeared and another lady came out to draw the beer. Not one person greeted me saying hello or how are you, it was; what do you want to eat and are you ready to order. I sense of welcoming here. I mean zero!!
After the bit the young waitress came back and took my order. It wasn’t long and my pizza came out delivered by the cook. A bit later my wings came out delivered by the cook. Didn’t see the young waitress again for a bit.
When I did see her again I asked for a box for my food and was ready to enjoy another cold Peroni. Instead of bringing me a box and asking if there was anything else I would like, she brought my check. I took that as my Q that she was not wanting me there so I just closed out and left. The service was just terrible and so I only left a small tip. I rarely do that but she’s lucky she even got that. Her vibe was really bad.
The food: the pizza had fall apart and really lacked flavor. The wings were absolutely mushy and I ate only 1. If this was the last place on earth to eat, I’d starve before going back.

Read moreStrong's has really good pizza. I'm a pepperoni topping fan and they do it right, even though it's not a primary menu item.
Some things to consider:
The $7.50 mozarella sticks were a disappointment. The advertised photo lead me to believe they were jumbo sized. I don't think it's intentionally misleading but be aware that they're no different in size than frozen mozarella sticks from the grocery store. I felt the same about the taste as well.
The online ordering system automatically selects a 20% tip and adds two service fees: I was charged a $0.75 fee and a $0.25 fee. So if you're in a hurry and clicking through the checkout process you'll probably miss that 20% tip like I did. I don't fault Strong's; I believe it's the ordering platform they're using that does this. My recommendation is to call Strong's and place the order via phone instead to avoid this.
I live 15 minutes away and every time I pickup and drive home, the pizza is fairly cold by the time I get home. I order from other take-out pizza shops in the Union and Walton area and Strong's is the only one that is somewhat cold by the time I get home. Perhaps they don't keep the to-go orders on a heated tray? Regardless it's still worth it and we enjoy it.
This is one of my top pizza places in the...
