Carbone's Restaurant — Restaurant in Unity Township

Carbone's is our go to Italian restaurant. It is conveniently located in Crabtree next to our church. Saturday evening is church first, Carbone's second. Natalie is a lovely lady and spends her time walking between tables and meeting her customers.

The food is excellent and is affordable. Good food, good ambience, good times.

We also love their house dressing and buy one or two jars per visit. A good, mild, italian dressing.

We recently had a dinner with 12 of my high school classmates. Our waitress was exceptional and the food, service, and attention was outstanding.

Their recipes date back as far as their decor. First time visiting and was pretty disappointed. We had the Chicken Marsala and the Chicken Parmigiana. The marsala sauce was not a marsala sauce at all. It was more like a gravy thickened with cornstarch. Had to use a side to get spaghetti with both dishes, when that's just how it should be served - over pasta. The red sauce was okay, nothing to write home about. The chicken parm had way too much cheese. The side salad was lettuce soaked in "italian" dressing with one little cherry tomato, a thick slice of a white onion (white??) And one black olive. We won't even mention the ant in the salt shaker....

This is my wife and I special place to go. We hit it up this time for New Year eve dinner. They graciously bumped up our reservation and hour and got us seated right away. The place was packed. It was nice too see it so busy. No special menu, which is fine, since we each have our favorite menu items. The beef braciole was excellent and my wife had the pasta and meatball, her favorite. Carafe of wine. I had the excellent wedding soup, and my wife loves the dinner salad with house dressing. Service was efficient and we more time than expected to make the movies.
