The Great American Bagel — Restaurant in University Park

I have been going to this Great American bagel for the last minimum of 10 years… I go in today because this has been happening for the last few times. Now mind you I go here at least three times a week… So this time I decided to go in because everybody has been amazing there forever and ever and ever!! Now they have this new blonde manager up in there when I ask her to actually put enough cream cheese to cover both sides. She’s trying to tell me that that is an extra charge and I said this is the way it’s always been. I’m not wanting extra cream cheese. I just wanted to cover the entire bagel… She let me know that it is going to be extra going forward and that the people that is taking care of me for so very long. We’re wrong all of these times. I will never go back to this place again and I will only give my service to the Homewood location. that is terrible customer service little Miss...

The Great American Bagel offers delicious bagels and breakfast sandwiches. On the whole i love the place.

I tried the BLT on a cheddar jalapeno bagel – the savory cheese and slight spice of the bagel perfectly complemented the BLT. For a sweeter option, the banana nut bagel with strawberry cream cheese was amazing – a delightful combination of textures and flavors.

On this particular visit the staff seemed a little short and frustrated, which is out of the ordinary. I have a feeling it was because I was asking some question about the options, my English accent can be a little difficult to understand for some people. But there hasn't been an issue previously.

I stopped here on my home for some pumpernickel bagels and scallion cream cheese. Through so I did ask if they had pumpernickel bagels when I pulled up. The person yelled do we have pumpernickel bagels and a man replied yes. It’s amazing to me that they own a bagel shop and don’t know the difference between pumpernickel and Rye,when there’s clearly a big difference. Just be honest.
