Roy's Deli & Market, Inc. — Restaurant in Upper Freehold Township

The only thing this place has going for them is it's the closest convenience store out here, but honestly I would rather go to Tractor Supply for a soda and some candy.

Their sandwiches are expensive and so weak. No meat & no vegetables - I would rather a Subway go in here. Their meat is precut & stored in plastic wrap. No problem for me, other than I could see the ham was wet & gross looking.

Also their fries are the equivalent of old McDonald's fries. They are freezer burnt or something else. Not even smothering them with Ketchup worked. (Yes I ate a few on the way home while they were super fresh and they still sucked) In the end I threw them out.

Their fridge smells terrible when you open it for a drink.

They are not very friendly & it's just a sad place in general.

All these people with high reviews are just happy there's a spot nearby, but this place needs to go. I did not like Roy's when I moved in, but the Recent loss of Hot Shots has left my stomach with a sandwich void. I guess I will wait for Jersey Mike's to...

I was out on a bike ride and I was happy to see this Deli. I ordered a chicken wrap, and it was pretty good. Unfortunately, the lady behind the counter was rude. I simply wanted to know how large the wrap was, since I’m on a bike and can’t pack it to go. She made it a point to be rude & sarcastic to me, saying “what you never seen a wrap before?”. I asked again nicely but just got another nasty response, and she appeared offended. Ultimately, she put more effort into being nasty/mean, than to simply answer my question. I let it go, obviously she had some issues.. and maybe I’m not welcome there for some reason. Luckily the man behind the counter was super nice, friendly and polite. A very nice man. I had a really nice full sized sub with a generous serving of meat. It was delicious. However I ordered a turkey and roast beef sub which is shown on the menu, and got a roast beef only sub. I also had to clarify that the notes from the person who took my order said "heavy mayo" not "honey mustard." The communication between order taker and sandwich maker was not great. Also VERY slow.
