Slate Quarry Hotel — Restaurant in Upper Nazareth Township

Have been going her for over 30 years and have always enjoyed this place good food, good beer, good drinks local and friendly. The last few times I have been here to eat they have gotten the order incorrect and, in my opinion, do not hand issues correctly. I have ordered a steak sandwich NO CHEESE the last couple of times eating here and it has come out with cheese. Somehow miraculously they take it back to the kitchen and have it back out to me within 3 minutes however this new steak sandwich has less meat on it and the fries on the plate have shrunk also. Yesterday 10/12/23 when we were here my wife had ordered the dinner special Italian Sub WITHOUT Tomatoes and guess what, you got it, it had tomatoes on it but she was able to pick them off. I did mention this to the waiter when he brought out my new, smaller steak sandwich, that her order was also incorrect. When it came time for the bill I was thinking I may get one meal free or at least a 10-20% discount but he brought the bill over, Full Price, and asked how was everything? They have one more chance with me and when I do order NO Cheese I say it 3X. I do believe he wrote it down and was missed by the cook, but please take your time making the new one and add a little extra meat or something to make the customer ok with the mistake. I've been coming to this restaurant every other month or so for about 20 years, it used to operate as Florer's. It has always been very good, and I was definitely a fan. I have many friends that have been doing the same. We all loved it there, good food, nice staff. After tonight, I will never bother to go back. Very poor wait staff that seem unable to be busy and still care a little bit about the service, be halfway pleasant, or care about the quality of the food. We had a group of six, six out of six said their food was mediocre at best. I ordered a 1/2 rack of ribs and a bowl of chili. The others in our group got their apps, my chili was missing. We now have a different waitress, and she says she will get one for me. Big surprise, my chili comes 2 minutes before my barely warm, and on the dry side, ribs. How AWESOME! It was also the smallest 1/2 rack I've ever seen. You could have served it on a big roll. The chili was still good, at least.

I had asked our waitress if there was a new owner or a new chef. I assumed there had to be, to have everything be so poor. The answer was "No". No follow up, like maybe "Why, was there a problem?" I went to the Slate Quarry Hotel last night for a party of 9. My father in laws 70th. One person ordered a Cobb salad with no meat (vegan) and they brought it out with bacon. She politely told the waitress she doesn’t eat meat and ordered it without, they took it back. Then they came out 4 mins later with THE SAME SALAD! They brushed off the top layer of bacon (there was bacon all at the bottom and in between). She didn’t wanna fuss so I did, the (maybe manager) came out and apologized and took it away to make another. He was nice about it at least. They brought it back ten mins later, meanwhile we all have our food…except! My father in law whose 70th bday it was wanted a T-bone steak, they were out (meanwhile we had a reservation for two weeks). Anyway, he ordered a “pickaxe” meal, which was NOT what they gave him. He got fish and chips. He ate some but it was greasy and he’s old, so limits! Lol. I ordered the prime rib panini, which was EIGHTEEN DOLLARS, and it looked like this. Where’s the meat?!
