⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I am a regular at Obadiah's Seafood Market located in Mamora, right at the 34th St. bridge heading into Ocean City! First and foremost, the freshness of their fish was outstanding. They restock every day, ensuring that you get the finest selection of seafood. I was impressed by the variety they offered, and their assortment of sauces and spices made it a breeze to create a scrumptious dinner at home. The staff at Obadiah's Seafood Market were exceptionally attentive and friendly. They went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed, even providing ice with my seafood to keep it fresh on my drive home. They also had live crabs, and they were kind enough to break the back of the crabs for me, making it convenient and time-saving. Not only can you take the seafood home, but you can also enjoy a delightful meal at the market. On certain days, they offer an all-you-can-eat option, which is perfect for seafood enthusiasts like me. Oh, and don't worry if you're craving a drink with your meal – they do sell alcohol too. Overall, Obadiah's Seafood Market left a lasting impression on me. The freshness, variety, and excellent service make it a must-visit destination for seafood lovers. I highly recommend checking them out and indulging in the delectable seafood they have to offer! šŸ¦žšŸ¦€šŸ¤šŸŒŠ

I wish I had read the previous reviews before trying this place. Being originally from eastern North Carolina, where seafood is typically excellent, I had high hopes—but unfortunately, this experience was a major letdown. I ordered two chicken finger meals, halibut, raw oysters, clam chowder, and fried shrimp for my daughter and friends daughter visiting from Colorado. Sadly, no one enjoyed their food. The girls said the chicken fingers were dry and overly breaded, and the halibut was overcooked and dry. The clam chowder was okay, but the fried shrimp looked like frozen Seapak shrimp—and honestly, those taste better. I only managed to eat one shrimp before tossing the rest; it was mushy and overly breaded. I am not clear why you have a showcase of shrimp that you sell but what was delivered was far less than desirable. I would give this place 0 stars if I could but the oysters were fresh but who can mess up oysters unless they are not fresh. I shared my feedback with the woman at the counter, but she didn’t seem to care. For a $160 tab (including a couple of beers), I expected far better quality and customer service.

I try to support local businesses, but after several years of giving this one multiple chances, I’m done. First off, they tried to upcharge me $7 per pound just to steam a shrimp order- that’s excessive. I ordered Maryland blues to go, and when I opened the container, the crabs were still covered in mud and debris with seasoning just thrown over them. Clearly, no one bothered to even rinse or inspect them. Every crab was dried out like jerky, tasted like mud, and was basically inedible. Not sure what’s going on here anymore, but it feels like they just don’t care about quality. I’d recommend looking elsewhere for fresher seafood at more reasonable prices.

Tried this place a couple times before reviewing. This review is split between the Market and Restaurant. The Market: All the seafood seems to be pre-frozen, You cannot by any whole fish here or shrimp with heads on, and the scallops seem to be preserved in a wet solution which is common with cheap highly processed scallops. The frozen shrimp you can mildly taste the tap water the shrimp were frozen in when cooked. All signs that everything is not fresh and align to what you get from a giant food distributor. In addition the price of everything is very high which points to taking advantage of people visiting the island. Restaurant: Pricey menu to start with what you get. Tuna Steak, Mussels in White Sauce, Fried Cod were ordered. Tuna Steak came out well done with a texture of a microwave cook or long exposure to a heat lamp. Since it was served mildly cold with severe sear marks on it made me believe it was something precooked and frozen before reheated. Mussels served almost cold, inconsistently warm like they were microwaved or heat lamp also( seems to be a theme). Garlic white wine sauce was cold thick and tasted like it was out of a food distributor bag. Cod was hot out of the fryer which highlights the preferred cooking method is a deep fryer. Had a chance to see the cook in the back, seemed to be chilling pretty hard. Everything was served 5 minutes after sitting down, it came out quicker then our beers. This place could be something amazing if the focused was on quality.

The person who bagged our shrimp was very nice. Building is clean at first glance. Each review star represents...
