Visited recently and was in the bar area where a fight broke out. It was 2 guys threatening each other across the bar. It got loud and unsafe! the guests were all in shock and simply we couldn't believe what was going on. The bartenders did nothing , then out of NO WHERE a guy comes up and say's "that's it your out!" We were relieved that the Restaurant was policing their own crowd. Moments later the same drunk guest was allowed back in . I couldn't believe it. I immediately told the waitress this was wrong to let back in a guy who was obviously drunk (or high) back in. She was powerless. I warned her this behavior usually repeats itself. As predicted then the guy picks a fight with another guy across the bar for looking at him wrong! I then again complained the manager (who also stated he was the owner) came over to us and said he is really leaving now. I again stated his follow up was awful and he should do a better job - then the guy who stated he was the owner (not sure on that still verifying) started fighting with me. To be clear we never had any issues at this establishment before- rudeness from staff from time to time- ok expected. But thrown in the middle of 2 fights and then the bouncer steps to you ...WRONG!! DEAD WRONG!! By the way this was early evening -dinner hour not @ 2 am- not saying that would be an acceptable condition. Just for clarification!! We thought Covid was the issue @ hand- A weak MANAGER and rude to paying customers is not smart in today's world! I waited a few day's to post this so emotions were not in the way - But this manager needs to know that...
Read moreWalked in, first time since the renovations. The main area looks expansive, open and inviting, much more appealing than it was previously. It looked like everyone was enjoying themselves at their tables. I walked through, then went to the back where there is a cozy bar and seating area. I stepped outside where's there's many more tables. There is a stage at the front end, "The Yard," for live music artists. Now, if you're with a group who wants to sit close to the stage, no problem. There are big tables in the long, rectangular dining area outside. There are smaller tables towards the back where 4 can sit. But if you're 2, you can also sit there, and maybe if you're "only one." But if you are a single person who came primarily to see the performer, hear some music and have some drinks, there doesn't seem to be much of a place for you, other than on your own "island," at a table for 4 (or 2) by yourself, if one is available. It's a shame that there isn't a small bar area outside with some high stools to sit on, and/or table seating for one or two people. But I suppose Yesterday's really focuses on appealing to families or groups who come in for the dining experience, (though the big inside bar still is there) and not for the music outside. Not for those who are one or two persons (especially one) and who want to be close up with good sight lines...
Read moreMy friends who have owned a beach front home across the bridge since 1975. She went in and checked for permission like we had to park. They never saw other trucks parked there except me. Wow, the new owner seems to not be as friendly as the last. I am unable to visit anymore with my rig or eat there. I hope the food and drinks are not as disappointing as the hospitality of the new owner when we do make it there.(i usually stay a few days during the year, its been 2 years since there) (Last owner)Thank you Jeff. I located this place through a long lost friend. She lives across the bridge here. We met here along with another friend. The first thing we noticed was the atmosphere and design. It looks great and clean. Everyone was quick to help us and make sure we were happy with the table. We ordered some great appetizers, meals and a couple drinks. Everything was perfect and couldn't be better. Jeff made this happen for us. I believe he owns it or is the son who handles Yesterday's. This wouldn't of been so amazing or special if Jeff didn't go above and beyond as he did for us and especially me since i was coming from out of town and needed to park. Thank you. If in the area i will return just even lunch or dinner alone, if no one is...
