Came in to the roadside BBQ spot with a group of motorcyclists on a Saturday lunch timeframe. We had a good 15-18 people, along with others there for lunch, and we waited approx 15 to place our order. There is a single line where you order and then pay at the front counter, rather than being seated first and have your order taken by waitstaff. They did have a wide variety of smoked meats on the menu and the sides I got wee delicious. Even the Saturday special of burnt ends were still in stock—as I halfway expected them to be sold out (although, conveniently, there was no price listed on this item…my mistake for not asking first). Once the order was finally placed, the food service was surprisingly quick—5 minutes—brought out and handed to me in plastic containers for me to carry outside.
Overall the food was very good &, honestly, was the purpose for our group fun ride in the first place. Put in 145 miles round trip, and had a good day.
While there was indoor seating available, we opted to sit outside under the umbrellas and in the shade & slight breeze. Plan ahead, as there’s a single indoor restroom...
Read moreThe service was top notch, as we were greeted as we walked through the creaky spring door with an enthusiastic " Hi, welcome to Uncle Beth's BBQ"! We told the girls behind the counter that this was our first visit and we had a couple of questions. Usually, that brings a disapproving look from younger employees, not here, these girls were more than happy and more than patient with my wife and me at providing options and setting a dinner plate in our minds with the many available side dish options. It was very nice to have such friendly and knowledgeable server's taking care of us especially since it was our first time through the doors. The food was amazing and large enough portioned that were able to take enough home for another meal for each of us. The price of the meals are very reasonable and the Saturday afternoon drive with my wife was very nice. With any luck, our two four legged furry friends, if they are good of course, will also get a bit of the doggy...
Read moreMy husband picked up an order for us on this past Thursday or Friday. We hadn't had Uncle Beth's food for some time. We ordered a full rack & a half rack and they were both dry. My half rack was so overcooked that I couldn't bite into it. It was so dry that it was inedible. My husband even tried it and had the same problem. Needless to say we threw it all away. Something has changed and not for the better. They used to use a dry rub on the ribs but now are saucing them and it burns so you cannot bite it or chew it. The meat underneath was SO dry too!!! It was good how it was cooked before. The 2 sides don't come with the meat anymore either so sides are all ala carte hence the high price of our bill. $70 down the drain. My hubby works at Honda and a lot of people he knows there that used to stop after work to grab dinner won't go back for the same reasons so it's not just...
