My family stopped in from California. We normally love buffalo burgers, ribeyes, meat loaf etc. We saw the pamphlet with their menu from the toll to get on to Antelope Island National Park and thought buffalo burgers sounds great!
The 4 Buffalo burgers were $11.25 each for a very basic and plain gamey burger. They came with a patty, bun, pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, and onions that’s it. No condiments or cheese. Now the bun deserved 4 stars at least. But the burger was bland and a little gamey. My teenager and husband didn’t eat their burgers after a couple bites. My preteen did eat his, but said it was just ok. I ate some of mine, it was an ok burger. It was most definitely not worth over $11 a burger. I made use of the handy grab and go prepackaged area with little packets of mayo, relish, salt, & pepper, as well as a couple pumps and paper cups for ketchup and mustard. It didn’t help the bland gamey meat a bit.
My 3 year old daughter liked her 5 dino nuggets and did eat some of her fresh hot fries which were also bland. My 15 month old son, who loves to eat, only picked at his fries and 5 dino nuggets. These were 5.50 each. The kids meals came with kool-aid jammers juice punches. It was somewhat reasonable for the kids meals although other places would have charged $3.99-4.99 for the same meal but would have probably had 6 chicken nuggets instead of 5. All in all we tried it, it was ok ish, but we’d not recommend this place unless you’re just really hungry and can’t wait and you have extra money to spare.
The burger upset my husbands stomach. Which is part of why he stopped eating his burger, well that and the gaminess and blandness were a major factor. My teenager also had a hair in her burger. Over $60 for 4 barely edible burgers and...
Read moreThe place was fine (although infested with large spiders in the windows and corners of the Cafe). The workers were great. The problem is the price you pay for the food. My family can usually eat for around $20 at most restaurants similar to this. This cost us $40. They don't put anything on the kids' cheeseburgers besides the cheese (no lettuce, no ketchup, no nothing). And there are no refills on drinks. They also charge you $1.00 for a "large" cup of water. We bought two large soft serve ice creams at the end and those were quite small for the price. The burgers themselves were good... I just don't like being "nickel and dimed" when they already charge so much for the food. The Buffalo burger was good , but it honestly just tasted like a regular hamburger, so you're really just paying extra to say you've eaten a Buffalo burger. Anyway, next time we'll definitely pack in our own lunch. It was fine, but for the price and all the "nickel and diming" they do, I probably wouldn't recommend eating there unless you really want to try a...
Read moreStaff was inattentive while ordering, the menu that shows up online says the burgers include fries but they don't. One of our burgers had a nice long hair in it, another was absolutely raw after I got about 3 bites in. After realizing our burgers didn't come with fries, we tried to order some ala carte but the cashier wouldn't allow a card to be used for a transaction under $5, so we were forced to order 2 baskets of fries just so she would process the transaction. Lo and behold, the fries were also only partially cooked and lacking any flavor.
When we asked to speak with a manager regarding the hair in the food (we weren't looking for a refund, just trying to give a polite heads up) we were greeted with sarcasm and sass as the manager insisted she needed to see the hair to believe it was true.
Overall a terrible experience, save your money and grab food before you start exploring...
