I feel the need to share our experience at this restaurant in hopes that this NEVER happens to anyone else. We were staying at the hotel and celebrating a birthday + Mother’s Day with my family. The first red flag was when our waitress came over to pour us water and there were several gnats floating in the water pitcher. Our waitress did notice and dumped out the water immediately, I understand we’re in the desert but we were sitting INSIDE. The bread they serve consists of 4 tiny slices of bread with 1 square of butter, we ended up re-ordering bread 4 times because our entrees literally took 2 hours to get to the table. Our waitress repeatedly kept telling us the kitchen was behind, but there were maybe 4 other tables in the restaurant and every single party had sat down long after we had and were served long before we were. Our reservation was at 6:30.... at 8:30 and still with no entrees we had finally had enough, we asked to speak with the manager who said our ticket was supposed to be rung up first, but it got lost for some reason....... they then hurriedly brought out the wrong entrees before finally bringing out the correct ones. My “Waygu” steak was cold and absolutely not worth $65. The only reason I gave this restaurant 2 stars was because after we had to embarrassingly throw a huge fit in front of the entire restaurant, they decided to comp our meal and brought us a bottle of champagne to try and make up for a completely ruined celebratory meal. Breakfast was always lukewarm. Lunch was the only decent meal we had. For as expensive as this hotel is they REALLY need to figure out...
Read moreWe made reservations for this place for my birthday. It’s a bit of a drive from Moab - around 30 minutes. We get all the way there to find out that the power went out 6 hours earlier and they didn’t call us to let us know. They stated they had called everyone except us due to a phone number error. They told us they were serving a VERY limited menu, which was essentially only the appetizers. This was beyond disappointing as this was my special birthday dinner. We tried to make the best of the situation and decided to still eat there as we would have lost an hour of just drive time and still be hungry. We shared a salad and shared the one pasta dish they offered. Beet salad was good. Mushroom pasta was nothing special. My husband got 1 drink, I got 2, and we got the chocolate cake (which was about 3 inches in length total). It still cost us over $200, including a forced 20% tip. The service was great and we had a great time talking with the staff all night as we were the only ones there. It would have been nice if they offered us a free dessert or something given the circumstances. The views were great as well. But I would not...
Read moreHands down the worst service experience we've ever had. Came here for Thanksgiving dinner which was a buffet. Not too complicated for a buffet, service would only be to bring drinks and take away plates and bring the check. No, none of that happened. We didn't get refills on any drinks in the hour and 45 minutes we were there. Note, the amount of time spent was not by our choice. We were completely done eating after 45 minutes since it was self serve buffet. No dishes were cleared off our table at all. Our water glasses sat empty and were only about 4 ounces to begin with. Really wanted some coffee, but no. Finally after we'd waited another 45 minutes, we went to the hostess stand to ask for our check. Surprise, 15 min later, we received our check that has an automatic 20% gratuity added on! So our meal for 3 people with no drinks and no table service was $385! For a nice meal with good service like we expected, that would have been fine, but this was absolutely the worst service we have ever experienced and even after they were told, they didn't...
