Bert's Breakfast & Lunch — Restaurant in Uxbridge

My husband and I like to try a different breakfast place once a month. I googled breakfast place near us and Bert's Breakfast happened to be one of the breakfast resturant results with a good rating. As we pulled into the parking lot (parking was NOT an issue there is definetly ample parking) we noticed many cars in the parking lot and a group of older gentle men conversation in the parking lot. (Personally I like to see people conversation and laughing) As we entered the place was filled with customers all age ranges (2 to 80 years old) A sign read please wait to be seated. We waited only about 65 seconds to be seated the waitress was very pleasant and had a smile on her face. After being seated we ordered drinks first, my husband ordered coffee and orange juice. And I ordered water with lemon and coffee. The drinks arrived quickly by the same smiling waitress. My husband was a little disappointed when they handed him a glass bottle of Nantucket Nectars orange Juice! The waitress took our order my husband ordered 2 eggs over easy, corn beef hash, homefries and wheat toast. I ordered a mushroom, onion and American cheese 2 egg Omlette with corn beef hash, homefries and sourdough toast. It didn't take long for our breakfast to arrive. The presentation was good. Not over the top or fancy. The portion sizes were better then most and the food and service is AMAZING! Before leaving we ordered French toast to take home for our son. As the bill came we were pleased to see it was only 30 dollars! The only cons were that the orange juice is Nantucket Necture, the mushrooms in my omelette were from a can not fresh, and even though the corn beef hash is excellent its not homemade. My husband and I would recommend Berts with a 4.5 star 🌟 🌟...

Sadly I have no pictures to post Sunday morning went to Berts for the first time and was kind of excited. Live music and outdoor seating. We ordered at the window , paid and found a table, there were maybe 6 or 8 tables I don’t remember exactly. We waited and waited for the food. No one seemed to be eating but we waited almost 45 minutes and finally saw the server! She was at another table dropping off food. So I’m watching and I see the customer turn the plate around and look up at the server confused she picks up the plates and delivers them to another table! I kid you not to which they say it’s not there food! So she disappears and we go inside the restaurant to say we just want our money back. The server walks in from I have no idea where and says oh I’ve been looking for you why didn’t you wave me down? First off when i saw her come out with food I didn’t know it was ours and secondly I don’t want food that was delivered and touched by at least one other customer. So we say no thanks just give us our money back. Out comes either the cook or manager, no mask, and says it’s ridiculous and he will put it in a to go box. Again we say no thanks and the server throws a 20.00 dollar bill on the counter and we leave. Angry...

This is the 3rd, and LAST time I go here.... Food is mediocre, prices are in line with most small breakfast places...Service is abysmal..... this last time was the final nail for me. Walked in, (2 people) in front of another group of 3... 4 tables were seated, and a gentleman got up and left from the counter seating area... waited 4 minutes to be told (Sit anywhere).... Sat and waited, and waited, and waited.... group behind us received their drinks and menu's... We waited.... finally after 11 minutes we were offered drinks...... 2 more single people came in, and sat down.... We placed our order.... ( 2eggs scrambled, home fries, sausage + 1 pancakes, and 1 scrambled egg)....4 minutes later the group behind us received their food... the 2 single guests who came in afterwords recieved their food.... we waited.... FINALLY recieved our food...... 1 hour and 13 minutes from beginning to end........ NEVER will I go back.... and I will let all my longhaul/localhaul friends know to steer clear of this place.... Uxbridge is NOT known for it's restaurants. But this place is especially bad......... right down the street from the BJ's distribution...
