I stopped in for the grand opening today....so did everyone else in the metro!! It was BUSY.... good for them!! They have a small parking lot...but cars are able to park around the edges and unlike the WBL tap room, street parking is plenty!! The tables are mostly high top. There is some seating along the wall w a narrow bar. the bar is a big oval so space is plenty and great to see all around. Apparently there's a downstairs, the bathrooms are there. Due to the busyness I didn't attempt to venture down there. When I asked a beertender if that's where the bathrooms were? She said yes or there's an ADA bathroom along the front wall. That's the one I headed to. There were six people slanging beers so they were on top of it and when people were lined up they just gave a shout for who was next, it worked smoothly! The opening day tap list wasn't overwhelming but great coverage for all the palates. I opted for a Cocoa Vanilla Creme Ale at a reasonable 6.2%. The brew house is on the north wall of the building and visible from pretty much anywhere in the tap room. There was a small room w a curtain, that was open....maybe for those that want a little more intimate gathering. I hope Big Wood does well here. I've been looking forward to this location opening since I saw the banner. I got a kick out of one beertender's shirt; it read "best brewery in Vadnais Heights" ha. Congrats Big Wood on having quite the crowd at your 2:00 grand opening. Cheers

This was a nice brewery, easy to locate and they have a great patio for the summer brewery experience! It is rather small on the inside so they could get packed pretty quick in cooler weather. Lots of parking available and it's located inside an older brick building. I went on a Monday HH so it was pretty open for seating and not very busy. They have a good selection of beers, but it doesn't appear as though the website is as up to date on the current selection as they could be as we had two that weren't on the website. The brew tender could have been more informed about their beers even though he just serves beer but was very friendly none the less. They had clean bathrooms and a well kept establishment.

I have been enjoying Morning Wood beer for years from a can,but this is the first time I have visited the taproom. I ordered the Imperial Stout, while my daughters had an IPA and a hard seltzer. All were excellent. It's a quaint, cozy taproom with a laid back vibe. Our server, Jessica was wonderful, she went the extra mile to make sure our visit was enjoyable. Bonus for us dog lovers, is that well behaved dogs are welcomed in the taproom. Looking forward to checking out the patio this summer!

Stopped by today to use my buy one get one with my hoppassport. The male bar tender was rude. I mentioned that I didn't get buy one get one if beer is 7.00 and they credited me 6.00. My credit card was run as I said to not run a tab, but I had not signed it or put the tip amount yet. The male bartender responded that with the music Festival going on the beers are 7.00 instead of 6.00 as usual. He said he could figure out how to make up the 1.00. I said no and shook my hands. He said right away that he didnt want to deal with it and grabbed 1.00 out of the tip jar and threw it on the counter. I was very nice in just mentioning that I didnt get my coupon. The way the bartender reacted was uncalled for and unkind. I've been here before and haven't been treated this rude. I left today upset at how I was treated. I didnt ask for anything, just was pointing out I wasnt truly...

If I could give negative stars, I would. My friend made us reservations here 2 months in advance and specifically requested outdoor seating. When we got here, they told us they had no outdoor seating and to ask the inside host for seating. When we got inside, there was NO reserved seating and we managed to find a table in a closed back room. When we went to meet another member of our party and show her where we were seated, a server physically GRABBED our friend and asked us if we had a reservation even though we had already talked to multiple servers about our reservation! All the servers were completely disrespectful and disorganized, we could barely get their attention long enough to order, and I would never recommend this place ever again. Worst brewery...
