The worse hot pastrami I've ever had....!!! The service was EXTREMELY SLOW and "Tyra" clearly didn't want to be there. She literally yawned multiple times while making my sandwich. I thought she was gonna fall asleep on the job. And while my sandwich was in the toaster over for 15 minutes ( unusually long compared to a rapid toasters) I can't emphasize how slow she was, and I was the only customer there.
Tyra also gathered trash and started cleaning while never changing her gloves.
The sandwich itself had way to much mustard, and was very skimpy on the meat. All toppings had to be requested and seemed like a major request. And despite being in the toaster oven for 15 minutes the pastrami still was not hot. Also no jalapeños or whole pepperchinis were available. No pickle spear either.
This place could definitely use a lesson from THE HAT or Milton's on what a hot pastrami should be. I'm giving 2 ⭐️⭐️ because the bread was ok.
For $10.69 I was disappointed. I'd have to be really desperate to try this place again. The Subway sandwich shop that use to be here was better, and I hate large corporate chains.
The near by taco shops will be my preferred choice while in this...
Read moreWas a fan of the Escondido location so I tried this one. Sandwiches are just as good. However, I have a major problem with the prices here. I like Agrusas in Escondido because it is a delicious, filling, and most importantly, a fair price. That last bit is what this location messed up. Compared to Escondido, everything will be more expensive at this location. I guess they can get away with it since there’s really nowhere else to eat around here. What a shame though. Staff and food were both fantastic. As for prices, two big thumbs down 👎👎 A big part of what made Agrusas so great is that it was affordable quality food. I guess now they cost as much as any other overpriced junk. Guys, they’re sandwiches. Sandwiches are supposed...
Read moreOur family of four was visiting a friend at a nearby ranch and checked Google maps to see what was in the area. So lucky we found this sandwich shop! The staff was so helpful and friendly. They gave us some of their house dressing on the side for my "picky eater" son to try for free, and suggested lightly toasting my daughter's sandwich because she just got braces. I wouldn't have even thought of that!
The sandwiches are huge! My husband and I shared a 16-in and it was plenty for both of us. The bread is amazing and the meat portions are generous. Just the right balance! Next time we will try the pizza roll and potato salad. Everything was delicious!...
