I decided to try because I’ve delivered door dash orders and it smelled so good and I have heard great things. We came in and no one was upfront and we really weren’t in a rush but someone came out right away and was very kind and friendly and my husband and myself value that a lot being we both work/have worked good service. We ordered the soul roll and a Philly cheesesteak with onions and jalapeños and fries to share. I wish we had ordered 2 containers of fries because they were SO GOOD! The Philly cheesesteak was perfect amount of seasoning with spice from jalepeno not too over powering. The soul roll was a burrito size egg roll filled with collard greens, yams, Mac n cheese, and fried chicken….perfect size and balance of flavor. We will be back!

2 suggestions, once I realized they were natural cut fries I got my malt vinegar immediately and the soul roll was very good but I wanted thanksgiving vibes so I dipped it in chicken gravy and it definitely took it up a notch, I’d consider adding a gravy cup with the soul roll and keep some malt vinegar packets for fries :)

First time there, the order taker was very helpful!!!!! She was nice and very patient. As far as the food goes, for they to say it is “SOUL FOOD” is DISAPPOINTING because the food was very bland. The baked Mac n cheese was dry and disgusting, the fried chicken looked like it was either sitting for awhile and recooked or just cooked in OLD OIL, the sweet potato’s had no taste, they looked and tasted like they was boiled, sliced and thrown on a platter. No sugar No cinnamon in my opinion they had NO SOUL FOOD. Now the French fries was off the chain, they remind me of board walk fries. Let me tell you, this is a spot that’s worth finding and getting! The food is fresh and made with care, full of flavor and plenty of variety! I’ve had their wings, the hot honey bbq flavor is sooo good. They have specials too so pay attention, the one Sunday I got lucky and had the chance to try their ribs. This platter came with a potato salad, cornbread and some yummy beans. The meat was tender and rich!! Also a huge fan of their fried pickles.
