Stack's Liquor & Deli — Restaurant in Van Buren Charter Township

We seen this place on Tic Toc and decided to give it a try. Huge disappointment! We spent $60, got charged for little ranch, and when it was forgotten, the owner waved us off saying "only one sauce", and walked away....dismissing my spouse over a small sauce that we paid $1 for!!

Only to realize our food consists of

Burnt tasteless chicken Mediocre pizza Fish was bland and wasn't fried hard, and when trying to get the sauce (that was forgotten), the cashier and owner was rude and dismissive.

Entire experience was unacceptable!

Now I don't know what type of experience everyone else is having but the food definitely matches the attitudes of the cashier and owner. There was no reason for the disrespect and attitude, especially over some ranch that was purchased!!! The Deli is part of a liquor store and they didn't have a welcoming bone in their bodies from the moment we approached.

The way the food was cooked combined with the attitudes lets us know that this treatment had to be intentional. So I'll be intentionally letting people know that if you're a POC, you might not wanna order your food here, "IN PERSON" that is. Order on the phone and sound as proper as possible, lol.

Be careful with the next customers. It baffles me how ignorant people like you are, when all it takes is one video/experience made by an influencer to bring that pos Deli down. Treat people better!

My husband went into Stacks yesterday after placing a order online as we have done over the years and never had a issue. The process has always been that you get a ticket from the deli and you pay at the register well they decided yesterday to change the process for my husband specifically. The reason I say this is because the couple in front of him in line who happen to be white were told by the deli to pay the cashier but told my husband who is black that he had to pay at the deli. My husband said why would you change the process for me but not the other people customers but when he told them they could keep the sandwiches another male came from the back and told him it was a misunderstanding and followed the old process. I don't know what happened or has happened but there is no race of people that is the same so you shouldn't judge them all the same. He paid for it and left but we will be back and we are telling are family and friends not to go...

They come to my job often. When on second shift they NEVER brought enough food. One lady's response was oh well get down here quicker (no way possible). When working on first shift my chicken was not completely done & was cold. When asked for a new piece I was told to ask whom I'm guessing was the mgr. I spoke with her & the lady who said oh well told me there is no way the chicken could be cold when on heaters. Long story short I let the mgr touch the chicken she agreeed it was cold the lady continues to argue. Took the chicken out of the mgrs hand & threw it in the trash. By then I just wanted my money back. I will NEVER eat stacks again. Maybe if they find someone to replace the rude lady they can gladly have my...
