Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Vandalia

The service here is horrendous. Our waitress couldn't even bother to refill our waters. The food tastes alright, but if you're looking for the normal "Mexican-sized" portions you will be quite disappointed. I also ordered a mixed drink that ended up tasting just like juice from a can. The best service we had all night was when we went to pay. Our cashier attempted to give us a discount due to the horrible experience and another worker said she was not allowed to because "everyone complains about the service." The girls ringing is out seemed to be the only people in the place who cared about customer service. I would hope to say this was just a fluke, but I've also heard other bad reviews. Waitress was the only one there, so that was OK for what all she had to do, 2 other tables good order was taken before ours, and we had been there way before them. Our problem was the food, had no seasoning for 3 of us, 1's steak fajita could barely eat half of it from so much fat and gristle (along with no seasoning as well), 1 had chicken sandwich that was outright gross and fries were scorched tasting (like the oil needed to be changed). 1's food and mixed drink were perfect in every way. The bar is pretty and video machine room is nice and big. We won't be trying this place again. That waitress could definitely be used somewhere else that wouldn't overwhelm her with...

This restaurant is beautiful. It is maintained very well. Not one speck of dust or any crumbs of food on the floor. The table tops were shinning. The staff members were quick and friendly. The food was delicious and very nice presentation. Normally I would snap a photo, but I was very hungry, and it looked so good I dug right in without hesitation.
