Mad Hooter Coffeehouse & Cafe — Restaurant in Varnville

This is a great coffee shop and pizza house! I was on a road trip following the railroads to see all the old RR towns throughout the South. I accidentally found the Mad Hooter coffee shop and pizza house. It was one of the highlights of my trip. Tom and Alicia are so friendly and welcoming. The pizza is outstanding, and I'm picky about pizza :) I was so happy to see a lovely old village like Varnville attracting new life and business. America has hundreds of quaint old towns that are now ghost towns. Instead of sprawl, we should revitalize! With so much remote working, these lovely communities could see a revival. Well done,...

We had a great lunch today. Our choice of pizza was delicious, and the coffee was outstanding. For today, we passed up a choice from their huge number of ice cream dishes. But, we'll be back another time for ice cream or a choice from their selection of coffees, scones, or assortment of cookies. I enjoyed wandering thru the shop lookiìng at the myriad of jewelry, art prints, t-shirts, used books, and other items. Went out for a ride so I just swung by this coffee shop and give them a try well that was my first mistake. Ordered a six dollar regular mocha and it cost $7.42 trying to I trying to figure out why it was that much? I asked the guy just said taxes so this area has a 24% sales taxes, I don't believe that not only was it overcharged for it but when I got it it was luke warm it wouldn't even close to being hot drink definitely would recommend...
