Dragon Palace — Restaurant in Vassar

We came here for the first time in a Thursday night. The interior is appealing to the eye with the decorations and lightning. Seating could be updated but it works. Unfortunately there was only one waitress working and she had many customers and was overwhelmed between the sit down customers, take out customers, phone calls and other tasks. I feel bad for her cause she was flying through the building going as fast as she could. Despite this she was very nice and efficient even though she was flying at a million miles an hour. And despite being understaffed it was not a terribly long wait for our food and it was delicious and I tried two new dishes that I liked. Despite the experience I am rating them 5 stars because of the good food and the exceptional service of the one waitress who should be proud of herself for being graceful under pressure. Best Chinese food within miles!! Chinese food is my favorite and I've tried a lot of different places. This place is currently my number one favorite Chinese place! My wife and I always get the General Tso's combination platter! It is very tasty. I miss when they were also sit-in! The staff is always working hard to make sure they have your order correct! Several people get frustrated with how long it takes sometimes. I've learned to be patient with them because the reason it takes them so long is because of how many people are ordering from there. My advice would be to call in and when they give you a time, like 25 minutes, leave your house when the time is up so that when you get there, it's either ready or about to be done! The attendant who took my order was polite. The food was ready on time, and the Crab Cheese and Sweet and Sour Chicken was delicious! I also ordered Fried Wontons. When I peeled the wonton apart, there was nothing inside. So then I called the business, to let them know there was nothing inside the Fried Wontons. I was told by the business that there was something inside, it was just really small. There was nothing inside, just fried wonton wraps. Was hoping the business would say it was a mistake, but instead they told me that there WAS something inside. There wasn't.
