I'm a bit dumbfounded and almost at a loss of words when it comes to writing this review. Let me start by saying I've had this restaurant on my bucket list for quite some time since the COVID days and finally made the trek there today from Columbus. I was eagerly awaiting to try one of their famous "Rod" burgers, but unfortunately, it was not meant to be, and in hindsight, it is really disappointing. So, this is where it becomes extremely frustrating for me. Despite a 30 min wait, which I expected on a Saturday evening, after ordering my food, well quite plainly, it never came. After waiting 45 min with just my drink, I finally flagged down a staff member who approached our server. The server, in turn, could be seen tossing her arms up in resignation only to walk up to our table with a dour expression announcing that she didn't know how long it would be. When we said we'd pay for our drinks and go, she simply shrugged her shoulders, telling us not to worry about it. No other explanation. No apology. She didn't even offer to have the manager come speak with us. A glaring case of lack of accountability!! As we were walking out, we did stop by and asked to speak to the manager and when they approached, they seemed oblivious to the situation at hand and could only offer a matter of fact kind of plain apology. With all that said, I want to make two points about my horrible experience today. The first is that this was an obvious case of lack of accountability. No one took responsibility, and no one cared displaying the utmost apathy I can recall, having witnessed in the many years I've dined out across the country. Secondly, I realize I really wasted precious time traveling and waiting around for my dinner to come out. I'm not in great health, and I expended energy, which I have in small intervals only to end up being terribly disappointed. I see this restaurant receives many positive reviews. I would've much preferred to write a glowing review, but sadly I've been robbed of the chance to do so at this time.

Considering there are a couple diners, within 20 minutes of this place, where I can get a delicious home cooked meal for less than $12, I think $30 for 2 meals of basic burgers, fries, and soft drinks is ridiculous. Definitely nothing special about the food to make it worth the price. But, the service is the main reason we will not be returning.
Our server last month had an attitude problem. She saw us when we came in (she was behind the counter with another server), but took almost 10 minutes to take our drink order. There was an extremely long wait for our drinks, then she disappeared without taking our food order. When she finally came back, she acted like it was an inconvenience. The table next to us appeared to be regulars, or friends/family of the server. She spent more time talking to them than doing her job, and even served them before us, even though we ordered before them.
We decided to return last night, giving this restaurant a second chance, assuming that it was one bad server. We had a different server. She was nice, but the service was lacking. She took our drink order, disappeared, then returned empty-handed and took the drink order of a table that arrived after she had taken our drink order. She left again, returned with a to-go drink for a different table, left again, and finally returned with our drinks and took our food order. Somebody else brought out our food, and nobody checked on us after that. We never received refills or even the check. We also wanted to take a dessert home. Ordered a second beer after letting the empty bottle sit for about 25 minutes. We finished our food and the second beer never came and the waitress wouldnāt even look our table. Harlee needs more training, I left cash on the table and left without seeing the bill because this hour experience was very disappointing.
Edit: Hey there! So happy to hear from you. Since youāre all about getting the information and details straight I thought it would only be fair to ask a question. Why didnāt you acknowledge the fact that we cleaned our own table off? It was clear that the table had been bussed but failed to be wiped down since the table was covered in ketchup and mayo. I left that part out of the review because it honestly didnāt bother me but since you feel like the facts on my end were not straight then I suppose Iām obligated to correct you as well.
Iām well aware that a 50ish minute time is pretty normal but is it also normal to only see a waitress three times and not get a second round of drinks? Is it normal to have a second waitress take the second drink order but only bring it when she saw us stand up to leave? Our first waitress was doing rounds in the room and could clearly see our table.
You lost out on revenue with your current staff and you lost a customer. Using the small family business as a cover for poor service is a terrible quality and reflects you as the owner as well.
