I'm a local and order here fairly frequently. The subs are some of the best you can get, and the Philly is fantastic. The pizza is thin-style, and not bad at all, my issue is the toppings - or lack thereof. Very sparse, so I doubled everything. Same amount. TRIPLED all toppings, and I swear it actually caused a reduction, even though I politely specified the issue and request when placing the orders. This is why I rated only 3 stars - other than that, I would be 5. Why, Holmes Creek Pizza, Why?
Also, delivery. I know that maintaining a reliable delivery fleet in a rural area presents challenges. Maybe it's been tried and proven not to work? But I'd think that as one of only three potential employers in 20-40 miles, you could attract enough drivers to support a reasonable delivery zone. I know I would order more frequently if delivery were an option, and it's a proven metric that delivery service increases sales (and profits!) while at the same time providing jobs in an underserved market.
There's a delivery model that operates on a drop-in basis. In other words, drivers are independent contractors that can sign up (or show up) for shifts when they're available. It's sort of like a hybrid Door Dash system, with delivery based on driver availability with HCP having the option to cap number of drivers working per shift. So as a customer, I call and ask if delivery is available tonight, or you could promote it when it is ("we're offering delivery tonight if you'd like to use that option..."), advertise it on social media, etc. I saw one place that had a light they'd turn on when a driver was working. And for drivers, if I'm bored and could use a few extra bucks, I can head over, let you know I'm delivering for the evening (or X hours), then hang out in the lot playing on my phone until you have something for me. Drivers set their fees which they collect at point of sale via a seamless app. Restaurant charges an 18% gratuity on all deliveries, split between staff and driver (well, technically, it's for staff, who are expected to voluntarily share half with drivers). HCP could also set a delivery fee cap (i.e., only make referrals to drivers operating within fee structure).
This model has proven successful and often creates a system of regular drivers that offers a reliable and predictable service. With no other delivery service in the area, might be...
Read moreNever again! My wife and I ordered a Hawaiian pizza with mushrooms and pepperoni as additional toppings then after wasting over half an hour waiting on pizza here they come out with a cheese pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms. I mentioned that it was supposed to be to be a Hawaiian pizza with the two additional toppings and the cashier argued that the way it was rung up was a plain pizza with only those two toppings, instead of fixing the issue and taking responsibility for their mistake she rudely says to the other lady just throw some pineapple on it. At this point I just told them to refund it, as it was supposed to be to have pineapple and ham on it and they were trying to just throw some cold pineapple on an already baked pizza.
The only other item we ordered was jalapeño cheese curds which they also screwed up on as they gave us regular cheese curds.
After all said and done they charged us for the rest of the order and only refunded the pizza although they screwed up the entire order and wasted over half an hour of our time on it.
The staff is extremely rude and have the intelligence of a rock, DO NOT BRING YOUR BUSINESS HERE!
You will get robbed and leave very disappointed!
I have reached the owner and they donât give a single care about anything besides money in...
Read moreWorst Experience ever with any local restaurant around here, ordered a hamburger and fries and a pepperoni calzone and it was made with the most watery ricotta cheese , and only eight pieces of pepperoni and was burnt. I felt like the manager/owner of the restaurant would probably like to know what kind of quality food was being put out and when I tried to contact her a young person answered the phone ,put me on hold and came back and the same person answered then as the manager ,then they hung up on me had another employee called back who sounded even younger and he hung up all me also when told the food was anything but edible. Responsible employees want to know where there food and service is lacking so as to correct it, children on the other hand, are busy playing the blame game and pretending on the phone to be âmanagement â. If this was a business that I was responsible for by way of management or OWNER , I wouldnât hesitate to find out who was impersonating me and handling the reviews of the restaurant when customers called in to speak to someone who could possibly correct the situation. Especially in a small town where we depend on each otherâs neighbors to keep a new...
