Boondoggle's Pub and Grub — Restaurant in Vevay

About a year ago we had a bad experience here as we sat down and were ignored by the bartender for a good 40 minutes as she walked right past us several times and never so much as acknowledged that we were there. Fast forward to about 3 months ago and we decided to give it another try and so glad we did. Since moving to the area we have tried every local restaurant we can and by far Boondoggles knocks it out of the park with their hamburgers, fish bites and delicious onion straws and more.

This past week we stopped in and I asked the bartender/cook/waitress if she could put a few onion straws on my double cheeseburger as a garnish. A few minutes later she brings out one the best burgers I have ever eaten! These weren't traditional thin cut onion straws, more like mini onion rings but they were delicious and will be my go-to item to order from now on. I also love their fish bites appetizer. They always taste so good and makes me really want to try out their fish sandwich someday.

With the fish bites tasting as good as they do - with the breading and homemade tartar sauce, they should really see about adding fish and chips to the menu!

Our whole experience with Boondoggles has done a 180. What started off as a frustrating night of being ignored a year ago has now become one of our favorite places to pop in for a bite and bucket of beers.

Our only suggestion would be to maybe hire more staff! I always feel bad that the bartender is also the cook as well as the waitress. I know that these days good help is even harder to find so that might not be possible.

If you haven't tried this place, give it a go. If you did try it and had a bad experience in the past, maybe stop in and try it again. We are so glad we did! And if you already know and enjoy this place like we do, we will see...

Iv been there ate great food even took out a food order went park to eat before winter best fish and Thay will throw u out if u are rude to anyone I love shoot pool so I like there pool tables I'm a graduate bout get my deploma at riseingsun high school passed all my tests may come down just to eat lunch and play music drink Mt dew I don't drink liqueur any more but for best food best pool tables love listing to music while eating or shoot couple games of pool for me passing all my tests and happy this best Xmas present ever every other times I would have deal with drama I'm not drama person I'm happy less I had to defend myself to point I had to hit anyone then I'd walk away first I'm drama free I like talk to respectful nice people worlds full of disrespectful people I hate anyone that talks about others behind there backs and if u can't be nice then I won't have people around me like that I'm respectful but also I speak my mind I'm blunt have be or people will try and take advantage of u I'm peaceful I'm trpe I will walk out never be any where there make fun of people in general I was reaised different I'm me won't change my ways for anyone I ant got time to be around anyone like that il talk to anyone first time I here drama il walk away say sorry I'm not into any violance or making fun of others just celebrate my test for graduation sobor and get to know good people that non drug addict I'm sobor like meet good real honest people to play game pool with I have no family here' moved...

This was the first time I has been in this sports bar, I had been there a few times when it was the Riverhouse and myself and my husband was pleasantly surprised. There was one older couple and a couple other gentlemen there. We ordered the fried green beans and 1/2 lb cheeseburgers and friend fried and they were juicy and very good, everything was fresh and delicious. The waitress was the bartender as well and she kept our drinks filled and was a breath of fresh air very personable and all around nice.
