Shell's Ice Cream & Grill — Restaurant in Vevay

Oh now this place has the best of food and icecream. A 50's deco and friendly workers. They have anything from burgers to fried mushrooms and about fried anything. If you like breaded tenderloin, come hungry or share cuz it is about the size of a hubcap! They give generous amounts of food, so enjoy. They have hard serve icecream and soft serve. What a treat. They also have a drive through and all their food is cooked as you order it. Even if you need an icream cake, they have it right there. We camp often about 5 minutes from it and cant wait to go there as soon as we get hooked up. I highly recommend Shells and cant wait till Oct to go camping...

The 3 kids and I share a large reese cup hurricane with extra reese cup. It's delicious. Depending on who is working you'll get one made with vanilla ice cream or chocolate which they make by mixing in chocolate syrup first. I'm a purist at heart and love the vanilla and Reese cup but the kids love the syrup mix. Either way I have to say the best thing about Vevay has got to be this amazing ice cream shop. You MUST try them.

Seriously....1 large hurricane feeds 4 people; me, my18 yo son, 16 and 9 yo daughters easy! If youve a HUGE sweet tooth like my Sexy Beast of a hubby Ben did then 1 hurricane will feed 2. ;)

This is a roadside delight. We came in very late and although it was not very busy, I could see that at times it would be. I can imagine with the food as good as it was, there would times it may be difficult to get seated. They had a big selection of grilled and fried food that would put many chain burger/dairy spots to shame. Their ice cream we did not have time to sample, but I can see making the two hour motorbike trip over from Louisville to do so even if we were not passing through. This was our first dinner out of town on our motorbike honeymoon trip and we were not disappointed at all. Service was fast and...
