Me and my mother did the dine-in and sat next to the windows to over look the Mississippi River and for one the windows are frosted so we couldnât see the river. We are currently on a road trip from Florida to San Diego, CA and we decided to eat at this restaurant. The issues all started from the get go when my mom ordered an unsweetened iced tea and they said they didnât have that, she then asked for a lemonade and they also stated that they donât carry that. When it comes to the food selection, it is very scarce; all they have is steak, seafood (which my mother does not eat), one and I mean one pasta dish. We both ordered appetizers ( fried mushrooms and spinach artichoke dip) and the fried mushrooms were decent but the spinach dip was inedible. Now comes to the entrees; I ordered the rib eye steak which was $37 and asked for it to be cooked medium rare and when I got it, it was grey and over cooked and very chewy, my mom ordered a baked potato with extra butter and they brought her a loaded baked potato and a salad. The salad she received was very limp and un-interesting.
Now letâs get into the problem with the staff. For one being a waitress/waiter you should be more involved in customer service. they carried on friendly conversations behind the bar with co workers, and what I mean by that is the entire time that we both were sitting at our table the waitress we had (jasmine) who was also the bartender I presume sat behind the bar most of the time and chatted up with the coworkers instead of asking if everything was good with our meal.
My mother and I are very disappointed in the service and the quality of food. NOT WORTH THE $88.10 FOR TWO!!!!!!
I highly recommend any place other than this restaurant, I would rather go to McDonaldâs before I ever return to...
Read moreWe are here for the weekend, so we were looking for a place to get breakfast when we realized that ALMOST EVERY BREAKFAST PLACE IS CLOSED ON SUNDAY! I get that this is the Bible belt, but what about hospitality and taking care of travelers? I happened to find this review, and we decided to chance it. Important info: it is in the casino, so don't plan a family outing there. No one under 21 is allowed.
The place is tucked in the corner, and it looks like a Wal-Mart lunch counter, so I didn't have very high hopes. I'll tell you what, if you need proof that it's less about whether it is made from scratch and more about who is cooking in the kitchen, I would like to present exhibit A: the Lucky Bean.
First of all, every single person working this little joint was friendly (and not in that overbearing, now I am uncomfortable way) and helpful. And the food was good! I opened up the box and saw something that had clearly come out of a bag in the freezer. But when I tasted it, I was excited to realize that whoever had prepared this had foregone the microwave! The premade sausage patties had been cooked perfectly, with a middle that was tasty and a crispy outside. The eggs were perfectly salted and tasted fresh. And there was no skimping on the butter for the toast. The coffee was thin, but nice, and the person helping us made sure to keep us topped up.
I hope the casino owner takes care of these folks, because they are clearly gems that make the business better. With cooking and service like that, these people would be better placed in a higher end facility, or with their own place, but I am so glad they were there for our benefit...
Read moreMy husband and I went to sandbar grill on 10/26/24 we made it there at 7:15pm . Our waitress only had one other couple sitting in her area. So we sat down and she came and took our drink and food order. When she came back with our drinks she stop at the other table first and started talking with the men about his personal life all while holding our drinks. The waitress and the men held a conversation for about 5 minutes before she came and sat our drinks down. So we ask her can she go make us some fresh drinks because they where just talking over our drinks. So she did and came back and just throw our drink on the table. So I order a grilled chicken salad and my husband order a steak and potatoe. We saw people that came 20 minute after we did getting there food where the other waitress where. But our waitress stayed at the other table talking to the men. she never came back to our table. So about 8:20pm we saw a manger and ask can we just pay for our drinks because they never brung our food and the waitress never came back to our table. So the manger went in the back and brung our food out and said its been finish I don't know why she didn't bring it out. Our food was cold so it had just been sitting there. The waitress was still at the table with the men again talking about his personal life. and the manger didn't even call her over to our table to ask why she didn't bring our food. All the manger did was offer to give it to use free. We will not return to this...
