El Norteño Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Victoria

They’ve installed a drive-through window, so that’s handy. I give the food 4 1/2 stars but they’ve gotten our order wrong several times during the last 10-12 years or so. The waitresses are always friendly and courteous, but one or two can’t understand English. That might not seem like such a big deal….but IT IS! It’s annoying and inconvenient when we pick up our order at the window and take it home and it’s wrong. I’m usually very patient with the language barrier and I speak my order very clearly. We usually try to go there when they don’t have many customers, so they can’t blame the mistakes on being busy. Anyway, the language barrier has been there for many years....

I had only ordered two tacos and being that I'm allergic to tomatoes I asked for no lettuce or tomato, we drive all the way home which is about 12 min drive down Bloomington hwy, and the tacos are both fully loaded with both so I tossed them out of anger. I call to see if I can maybe get them replaced and the female who originally took my order(meaning she knew they had lettuce and tomatoes) proceeds to tell me to get them out the trash and bring them with me tomorrow if I want her to replace them. smh, I've been in customer service most of my life and I've never been so appalled. RICOS! We wanted burritos to eat on the road to Corpus Christi so I ordered Al pastor, barbacoa and guisado and we thoroughly enjoyed all of them.
