Chela's y Carnitas — Restaurant in Victorville

First off, the food is incredible! The tortillas are homemade, fresh to order and the best I've had! The meats are delish... so full of flavor! Both the red and green salsas are wonderful! I ordered 3 tacos; 1 chicken, 1 carnitas and 1 steak. All were very good. After adding some salsa, onions and cilantro and a little bit of lime, they were just about the best I've ever had! Now, the inside is pretty shabby but the food was so good, I didn't care. Unfortunately, I had to take away 2 stars for the following reason. After I ate, I went to order more food to take home and I noticed they do not use any gloves. There was also a man in the sink rinsing and turning tons of meat with his bare hands. The cooking is all done with bare hands also. If the food wasn't so outstanding, I would take more stars away and have to make a decision whether or not to return. Especially with the recent outbreak of the Coronavirus, I can't understand why they wouldn't use gloves. It really isn't a hard thing to do. Hopefully, they will immediately amend this...

My family and I recently visited this family owned restaurant and I was so excited to try it I started dancing before I made it in. Little did I know that the beautiful window dressing this restaurant has only works one way and the owners could see me dance!! I say that to say that the owners are so wonderful and so kind! We had a great laugh over my dancing and joyfulness to try this place. As amazing as the customer service was, it paled in comparison to the delicious, authentic and amazing food they serve!! We tried a little of everything: Gorditas, Tacos, Quesadillas, Burritos and nothing disappointed. The only draw back was the Agua frescas. They are made in house and the Jamaica was just a tad watered down for me. Other than that small insignificant detail we had ZERO complaints. This is now my family and my go to spot from now on! We highly recommend everything, but their Carnitas is among some of the best I’ve had. Please do you and your loved ones a favor and eat here the first chance you get…you will thank...

Found this little gem on New Years Day! When we walked in the place was so clean and neat. The gal that was taking our order didn’t speak great English but the guy working was able to help us. my wife ordered the three tacos on corn tortillas, two of them carne asada and the other a pastor. She said it was some of the best she ever had! I got a carne asada burrito, now I haven’t had rice and beans in most of the burros I have had in the past but this was perfect mix. As we were getting ready to leave we saw the had something in the refrigerator and when we asked what it was they told us it was flan. Now I’m not a big fan of flan but this tasted great.
