Rustic Tavern — Restaurant in Victorville

I stopped in here to meet a friend and I must say it’s a pretty cozy little bar. The bartender named Krista was very friendly and made me feel very welcome in the place. She was good at multitasking and making sure everyone had minimal waiting to order while still being friendly and sociable. I don’t really drink much so I just had some water mostly but I did go ahead and have a shot of vodka. The bartender recommended a particular kind to try since I am not any type of alcohol connoisseur and yep... tasted like vodka to me so I’d say she got it right. Anyway, the environment was good and I nlike other establishments I’ve been to where the music is so loud I cannot hear myself think, this place has a comfortable level of music/background ambience and I had the ability to have a conversation and not have to yell so that was very nice. I noticed they have a pool table and some people were playing, they had televisions with sports playing, I believe I saw a jukebox style music player along the wall, and they definitely have an outdoor seating/gathering/smoking area. I asked if food was served and it seems there is some snack-like items, I believe popcorn was mentioned but it’s not a full on restaurant or anything. Just drinks, sports and new people to talk to. Still the same great Rustic Tavern as it has ALWAYS been! I love that in this day and age where so much is gone or has been changed that there's still some place that remains the same! I mean yeah they've got a cool new digital jukebox and a huge new patio but still the same great vibe, still a friendly face on the barstool next to you (most the time), still a bubbly girl on the other side of the bar ready to make you whatever drink your heart desires and still KAREOKE most days... I'll even go as far as to point out that they still have the same AMAZING KAREOKE DJ that they've had for the last 20 years! It is a small dive bar located in Victorville. I would frequent this bar, while visiting my relatives in High Desert, during COVID-19 lockdowns. This was one of the bars, that was still open, during the period. I would stop by, and drink on the patio, since it was open. They had a good selection of beers, and at fair prices. The bartenders were helpful and attentive. Furthermore, the place was neat. At the same time, the prices for drinks were fair, and not on the expensive side.
