Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Vienna

Yikes! We love Popeyes food so we’ve been to Popeyes all over the country. This place has the dubious distinction of being the worst. 😬

If you think the exterior of this place looks bad, you definitely do not want to go inside! Everything is very worn and in disrepair. One of the booths is hanging off the wall. Since another review also mentioned this, it’s obvious no attempt has ever been made to fix it… or anything else at the location.

When we walked through the door we were greeted by a stench that I presume was coming from the bathrooms since their doors were right there… given the smell, I did not dare try to use the facilities. 🤢

While waiting for our food I squashed a bug crawling across the floor. Everything looked dirty. I am not easily grossed out but this place did it for me. 🤢

The mashed potatoes we were given had ZERO gravy on them… I took them up to the counter and the girl gave me new ones that had a small amount of very THIN WATERY “gravy”. It looked more like broth. WTH? Are they trying to save money by watering it down???😐

Does Popeyes KNOW what this place is like? I realize it’s a franchise, but surely they...

From the outside, it initially appears that the establishment is closed down; indicated by faded paint, lack of signage, and a rough parking lot. Upon entering, it was apparent that lack of staffing resulted in a less-than-average cleanliness level. The interior of the restaurant wasn’t dirty enough to complain too much about. The bathrooms however need attention. The experience with the staff was fine, contrary to reviews of a rude staff I found that the employees were helpful and accommodating. The wait time for the food was average; it didn’t take long for our food to come out. When it did, it was hot and tasted fresh. The chicken tenders were juicy and tasteful, along with a delicious side of mac and cheese that I had ordered. This was my first experience trying Popeyes, and other reviews about this particular one may seem scary, but I think it was a cost efficient and flavorful meal. I had to take a star off of my rating due to the looks of the building inside and out. The restaurant itself just needs a few minor cosmetic upgrades and I think it would be a great...

Update September 8th 2021 STILL ONE STAR The health department shut this place down at the beginning of the year for months, MONTHS!!!! Today I thought I’ll try them once again since there back open, kinda, the lobby is closed and only the drive through is open. So I went next door to Subway where they WANT the business. While I sit here at Popeyes for 30 minutes ONLY two cars go through the drive through to order. If that tells you something about this place then I don’t know what to say. Even the locals stay away from this old outdated dirty Popeyes.

One Star, Why One Star? Well the lobby is supposed to be open till 9 Pm, I walk up and the employees have friends inside at the counter having a good time and the doors are locked at 8:50 PM, tons of chicken cooked that I see through the door.
