I wish I could give 4.5. Only one reason not 5. All the reviews were 5 for flavor, so I went w the old stand by favorite.... fajitas. I went veg, and as accommodating and sweet as the service was, I found maybe 4 slices of mushrooms that were offered and that I was really excited about. They did go out of their way to serve me avocado that was not in its prime, but still acceptable and what I was craving. The fajitas were not served on a sizzling plate, and even though the veggies were obviously super Fresh the seasonings were bland. That being said the homemade salsa was so delicious..... and I love spicy so I asked for hot sauce (had no idea at the time it was homemade)...she asked if I wanted red or green or both (with a wink...) And of course I got both. Between the salsa and the hot sauce on my fajita it totally made up for any lack of seasonings in the fajita veggies themselves. Price, portions, Service.....on point! Here for 8 week contract and...
Read moreI should probably start this review by saying I am not from the area and was driving back to Florida from Tennessee. During the trip the girlfriend and I wanted Mexican food and this was the first place that came up on GPS getting off 75. When we walked by I thought it was a store, and we almost got back in the car. Boy are we glad we stayed.
The staff (seemed like family) were all very friendly to us and seemed to literally be working hard while keeping their kids calm and collected. They did a fantastic job. The menu is super affordable almost maybe too cheap from a business sense for the amount of food you get. Everything tasted fresh and was prepared well without being over the top. I had the chicken fajitas, and she had the fajita burrito. Both were amazing! I am not sure how often (if ever) we will be in this area but to anyone that is...
Read moreA convenient and clean little restaurant & grocery store. The grocery has a variety of snacks and pantry staples, but some of the packages of chili mango slices were sticky.
The chips and salsa tasted very fresh and delicious, as did the fillings of the quesadilla, but the tortilla itself tasted store bought, which I think doesn't taste as good as freshly made. Although the menu doesn't say, the waitress offered me a choice of two quesadilla sizes, and I got the smaller size which cost $6.42. With the complimentary chips, it was a hearty meal for quite a low price.
When I went to the register to pay, I wasn't given the option to tip, which felt was a little awkward, so I just tipped in cash. This might be worth asking them about if you're going to eat at the restaurant.
Bonus: They have a really...
