This was our first time visiting this hidden treasure. Tucked inside a new residential community, the restaurant is built with somewhat an industrial vibe, with lots of black and tan colors, with wood and pipe shelving and butcher block look to the bar area. There is a garage door that opens to the gorgeous large patio, that has lots is table seating. There is also couch seating with a gas firepit and lots of gorgeous planters and a beautiful view of a community gazebo and a view of the gorgeous homes. It feels like you’re on vacation when you’re outside. On Friday and Saturday nights they have live entertainment. We sat at the bar, and Wyatt and Adrienne served us. We had amazing service by both. We had water at all times. Jason had two draft beers and I had a Mojito which was delicious with fresh squeezed lime and fresh mint. The atmosphere was great. The staff all were pleasant and seemed to all love their jobs and each other. Andy the owner was pleasant and introduced himself, and was very upbeat. I ordered the wedge salad and Jason had the Smokehouse brisket flatbread. He was hesitant on the habanero jelly that was part of the flatbread, so Wyatt quickly got him a sample from the kitchen to try it. It was delicious of course. Our food came out quickly. Their dressings and sauces are all made in house, and their meat is authentically smoked many hours on genuine smokers. Andy educated us on that, and you could certainly tell as we started to have our meals. Our food was presented beautifully and was absolutely delicious. The portions are not large, but the prices are very reasonable. Their concept is to offer good prices and not stuff their clients with large portions. Which allows guests to try several items, or actually have room for dessert. I don’t eat large portions so this concept is perfect for me. We were very impressed with this entire experience. The ambiance, the decor, the service, the drinks and food quality, the location and views, just all of it! 10/10 experience - definitely worth the trip from wherever you are!! And the patio is DOG FRIENDLY!!! Love...
Read moreWalking in, the restaurant seemed impressive. Clean, nice music, nothing out of the ordinary. As we approached we were asked if we had a reservation. Upon answering no, we received a shocked “oh my god” from an employee at the hostess stand (notably not the hostess). The employee seemed to be a manger of some sort: short, brown hair and around 60. As a party of two, we did not expect this as the restaurant had advertised that walk-ins are welcome and the seating area was completely empty. As two young women, we felt profiled by this employee as guests who did not deserve her respect or hospitality. However, she allowed the hostess to open up the velvet rope (foreshadowing) and seat us.
We sat down around 5pm, with only one other table and a couple bar seats taken. Our server (who doubled as the bartender) was friendly and attentive despite balancing both roles. She took our order quickly and the food came out within 30 minutes.
After eating and listening to some of the live music, we had forgotten about our encounter with the rude manager. As we were leaving, the velvet rope was up and blocking the exit. As we weren’t sure of the protocol, we stood there waiting for the hostess to open it so we could leave. When they noticed us waiting, the formerly mentioned rude manager opened the rope, stood directly in front of us with her back to us, and allowed customers in, despite the fact that we had been waiting to exit for some time. As we walked out, she did not acknowledge us or thank us for coming as paying customers.
Unfortunately, this encounter left us with a sour taste about this establishment after what would have been a pleasant dinner experience. I hope she doesn’t treat all young...
Read moreI took my mother and grandmother to Mother's Day brunch which was also our first time here. The atmosphere is very nice and we were seated before our reservation time around 11:45 am. The restaurant was busy but not crowded at all. After ordering our drinks and food, it took about 25 minutes to get our cocktails (which were warm) and an hour and a half for our 3 dishes to come out - we did not begin eating until 1:30. During this time, another table that arrived after we did (clearly a regular customer as the staff was addressing them by name) was served and had paid their bill and left. My grandmother's food was also served cold. Our concerns about the wait & quality of the food were brought up to our waitress who was very rude and dismissive & did not offer any kind of solution. When we received our check, the issues were brought up to who we assumed was the manager/owner and they were also dismissed and attributed to google overbooking them for Mother's Day. No apologies were given - only a $25 off coupon for a future visit if I signed up for their rewards program (which I still have not been able to access). We tried to be understanding of the issues as the business is new but the situation was very frustrating. While our experience started out fantastic and we began making plans to come back for dinner, we were overall very disappointed with the attitudes and lack of attention we received during our time there. Will probably not be returning any time soon even with...
