We live about 20 minutes away and wanted to try this place because of the good reviews we saw online. When we walked in and sat down we got no service at all. We finally went up to the bar to order drinks and food and didn’t even get acknowledged until 15 minutes of standing there waiting. The bartender said she would be right with us and then proceeded to help the group that just walked in several minutes after us. When I ordered one of the signature cocktails that was listed on the menu the bartender said “what is that”. Like she didn’t even know their own menu. My mother in law ordered a spicy Bloody Mary and the bartender said “I would have to go get jalapeños to make that” like it was an inconvenience. After we ordered instead of making our drinks she proceeded to close out other peoples tabs and grab a few more beers for another group. We asked for our card back because we wanted to leave due to poor service and she stated “I wanted to take care of these guys first because your drinks take longer” 3 paying customers walked out. This place definitely seems like a locals only bar. Outsiders don’t appear to get the same attention and service. Very disappointed. We will not...
Read moreWhat a great place! I'm here at 3:00 pm on a Monday but I can still feel the Saturday night energy. This is the third bar I've visited in these tiny towns near the state border and I'm glad to say it carries that special dive bar vibe that I love. They have a happy hour special from 1-5 pm with different choices like $1.75 domestic drafts and $2 wells bangers. While I didn't try the Happy Hour 50 cent wings this time around, maybe next time I'll give them a go.
They have a cool outdoor patio area to relax and hang out with a nice view of Pell Lake. I really like how this bar is located directly next to the lake. You can park your car at the Roller Rink park and stick your feet in the water before grabbing a drink a short walk away. If you like casino style gaming and a big projector with ESPN, then this...
Read moreWe took the drive based on the restaurant's Facebook ad for a burger special. The picture used in the ad was clearly created by AI because the burgers we got were more like something a toddler would get at preschool on a plastic tray. Tiny generic bun with a disk of ground beef that was smaller than the toddler bun. No flavor. We asked for crispy fries and they were barely cooked - floppy as all get out. We should have left immediately when we arrived and the place absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke. Previous reviewers mentioned that it's a place for locals and we noted that it doesn't seem friendly to non locals. Service was as slow as molasses in January. We love dive bars but this...
