Pretty rough experience! Stopped in on 5/18 and received horrible service! It was about 1:30am when I visited. I live in the area and thought it would be a nice quick visit for some pull tabs. I remembered and loved the fact that they had a smoking room with darts and a patio with nice lights, so my friend and I decided that we had enough time for one drink, a few pull tabs, and a smoke break. The bartender was clearly upset that we even stopped in, but was prompt in getting us two bottled drinks. We settled our $100+ tab (including tip.. We really love our pull tabs lol) immediately, with a generous tip which I instantly regretted giving her, and began a conversation with my friend. We suggested to eachother that we could have a smoke break, finish our drinks and head back home. We knew it was late. The bartender overheard our plan and immediately exclaimed the bar was closed and refused to let us go out to the patio! I checked my phone and the time was in fact 1:43am. After I showed it to her, she became even more rude and defensive, pointing to the clock which read 2:10am, then made it very clear that we needed to leave! There was no opportunity to finish our BOTTLED drinks! I'm confident that we were the easiest guests she had all evening. We knew exactly what we wanted, ordered drinks that literally didn't require effort, spent more than enough money and tried to be courteous. To make it even more upsetting was driving away only to see a crowd of people on their illuminated patio!!! I'll be sure to take my business elsewhere. Very very...
Read moreI'm sure you want an honest opinion so here it is it's a great old Irish pub with a lot of history. The owners are amazing and the people are friendly. They have a great back deck where you can watch a game of horseshoes or pick them up and toss them yourself. The downside is I live life in a wheelchair and it is not by any means wheelchair friendly. Bathroom doors are too small which I can deal with. Trying to access the smoking room or the back deck takes quite an effort to move many people out of the way of the door. Wouldn't be bad if I could access the deck from parking lot but it's one step up so not accessible. My advice would be to build a small ramp at that one step and give up the one parking spot in front of it buy cross hatching it with yellow lines. If I deal with all these situations I have never had a bad time at NIPs Update; Thank you Kav and Nettie! Shortly after this post went live that ramp got built to access the deck! Goes to show what kind of owners we are dealing...
Read moreStopped here a couple of weeks ago with a friend. Very small indoor bar, but spacious back room and HUGE outdoor deck. BOTH owners stopped by our table and introduced themselves to us and welcomed us to their establishment! Bartender was gracious and very attentive, even though it was a very busy Friday night. The patrons were very friendly and we instantly felt like we belonged, not at all like it was our first time here. We definitely will be going back. LOVE the...
