The building is beautiful service was adequate but the food was truly disappointing. We order the Spaghetti & Steakhouse “Prime” Meatballs, "Veal, Pork, Sirloin, Spaghetti, Marinara" and the Lasagna - Italian Cheeses, Tomato Sauce Ground Sirloin & Pork Sausage. The portions were large enough for 2 people each so no fault there. The meatballs were combination of meats but without seasoning or spices. The lasagna was huge and had a ground sirloin and pork and had very little cheese except on top and very little sauce. The picture shows a serving removed that my wife and I tried. She left most of it on her plate. In the end we chalked it up to bad luck. We didn't have drinks or dessert and it was $36 plus tip. I did tip the waitress she did her job. But she should have question why my wife had only taken one spoon full and left most of it on her plate. Some people are too uncomfortable to tell the waitress the food is bad. If the food was good that would have been a fair price with enough left over but not if it isn't taste. On the upside I didn't over eat. Maybe the ground Sirloin and pork mixture was just a bad batch. I regret not bringing it to the managers attention. My wife and I had a long hard day so i just think we weren't ready to discuss this, Based on the people dining on a wednesday evening the food generally must be good and it is a lovely place to dine. Update: Both managers contacted us to discuss what happened and listen carefully and encouraged us to try them again. We decided to returned for our anniversary to try there steaks. The steaks were 5 star 😋, hers was the petite fillet mignon and mine was a huge new york strip steaks not much on vegetable sides 🤔 and a bit pricey$$$. The 2 meals with tip and no drinks was about $110 with tip. They gave us a free desert for giving them a second chance/anniversary gift🙃. We have also tried the pizza another time, be aware as there name "Manhattan" implies the pizza is a super thin New York style 🍕.

Great place inside. This is where it ends. Went for Italian. Has spaghetti and meatballs... 25 dollars. Includes salad and a side of garlic bread.. Waitress was good. Not great. I wanted wedge salad instead of the house salad. Wedge salad was 14 dollars. And a side salad is 5. I asked the Waitress if there was just a upcharge or? No real answer. The wedge salad was very good. Then the spaghetti came out. Spaghetti was very aldente.. Very. Meatballs were average at best. Maranera was good just not enough. Waitress came by my water was empty. I should have said something, but the food probably wouldn't have been any better. So the bill comes. I'm charge the full 14 dollars for the salad. I ask why wouldn't there just be a 9 dollar up charge. She said... We don't do that. Well I guess I should have asked when she mumbled or just say on the menu no substitutions.. So I call to complain. The first person was rude. Saying no one really complains. I said since I took the spaghetti home. She should have offered the salad. I said the food wasn't worth 25 bux for spaghetti. He goes. Jeez now your going to complain about the food. I said not really but since you're being rude. He said I should have told the Waitress. I said the meatballs weren't that good no matter what. He goes what do you want me to do? I'm like your management... You tell me. I didn't want to go back and forth. I ended the conversation... 10 minutes later the general manager call asked what she could do. She claims she's going to send me a gift card we'll see.. Poor food and the first manager was horrible..

Went there for the first time on my birthday with friends. The food, service and decor were great! Decided to try the house special Manhattan made with Luxor maraschino liqueur in lieu of sweet vermouth & garnished with Luxor cherries. It was outstanding and the cherries have a bit of bite, instead of being too sweet. I'm usually a steak guy, but decided to go with the Veal Johnny w/ shrimp & Hollandaise sauce. Another great choice! It came with a house salad and whipped potatoes w/ shallots & truffles. Even though there were ample portions I ate everything (no take home). Because it was my birthday, they even threw in the "Killer Chocolate Cake" for free! Even if you dont order it, be sure to ask your server about the story behind the name. You won't regret it! They also had other great desserts and my party were all extremely satisfied. I can highly recommend the White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake. The decor and atmosphere were spectacular with a large dining room with fireplace. The only thing I could say that could have made it better was that they didn't have Orange Bitters available on the bar. So for that, I'm subtracting half a point. (If anyone from the staff reads this, order some Reagans Orange Bitters *nyuk nyuk*) Definitely going back...

Unfortunately, a Birthday dinner that we spent here was ruined, first by one of the three steaks we ordered being of poor quality and overcooked and then by the exceptionally rude response of management when we expressed dissatisfaction with the steak. We had three well behaved children at our table and when we expressed that the one steak was not of as high a quality as expected the manager angrily said “I bet my kids lives that it is a prime quality steak.” It was a really strange, aggressive and off putting way of communicating especially to a table that included children. When we mentioned that we found the comment inappropriate, she stormed away from our table laughing under her breath at us and the seven year old with us was asking why she was laughing at us and being rude to us. Her behavior was so clearly inappropriate that it was identified as such by a seven year old. The same seven year old that had been complimented by staff earlier because he was being so polite and well behaved. They then proceeded to basically disappear and be totally inattentive to our table, making no attempt to offer us dessert even though we were there for a Birthday and had pre-ordered cake for the Birthday upon making our reservation. We were ready to just give up and get dessert elsewhere but the four year old with us excitedly said to the waitress “we need a cake with a candle for him!” pointing to her Grandfather whose Birthday she was excited to celebrate. The waitress just coldly said a reluctant “ok” and walked off. She brought a piece of cake 15 minutes later. Being rude to a four and seven year old who are excited about their Grandfather’s Birthday is really uncalled for. We still tipped well and tried to enjoy the end of our meal, having spent several hundred dollars, but as we walked out, the manager gave us a dirty look from the bar. Two if us then walked back in to share with her that we felt the customer service was exceptionally poor and that the kids were asking why she was being rude and laughing at us. She made no attempt to make amends, apologize, or show any sincerity. Everything she said to us was said in such a way as to sound like an “F-you” Her main issue with us seemed to be being extremely offended by the fact that we disliked the one steak, but she also acknowledged at one point to us that occasionally there is a steak that just isn’t as good as expected. No idea why she wouldn’t just have apologized and expressed regret that we somehow got a grainy steak and tried to make sure the rest of our meal was good. They never even asked how we were enjoying the rest of the food. In case you are reading this review and wondering how the other food was, the other two steaks were pretty good, but the potato sides were just so-so. There are a lot of other places in the Milwaukee area where you can get a nicer meal both in food quality and in presentation and especially in service at the high price point. It was shocking how bad the customer service was and how little they cared about being civil with children present or ensuring that our Birthday celebration was a good one. I definitely wouldn’t recommend entrusting them with your loved ones’ special occasion. Sad and...

My family (group of 6) and I went here for my birthday dinner. The place is fabulous inside and out, however, that's about all I can say that is good about our experience. Starting with the (fabulous) bar...it took an extraordinary amount of time to order drinks, I finally had to obnoxiously wave someone down to notice us. It continued to go downhill from there. The appetizers (garlic bread and onion haystack) were very good! That was it. They have NOTHING for kids. No suggestions, no compromises. I asked if they could just make a small pizza for my son and I was told they only have one size pizza, the 16". It's dough. Cut a smaller size. So I ordered him a side of creamed corn. Our lobster bisque was served cold and the lobster in it was a big lump and too chewy and hard to eat. An hour and half after sitting down, our salads finally came. My son had fallen asleep on me after asking for his corn for over an hour. Then, approximately 2 hours after we had sat down, our meals finally arrived. 3 of us ordered the ($33) petite filet. What was set down in front of me was a chunk of meat and 4 black mushrooms rolling around on the plate. Why were they rolling around? Because the plate was bone dry with not a drop of steak juice or anything. It looked completely unappetizing. And it was. It was terrible. Absolutely no flavor. And it was less than warm. And dry. I ordered medium and it was cooked correctly, but it was dried up with no flavor at all. The 3 of us who ordered the filet, couldn't even eat it. My grandma's ribs were served cold, however she did say they were good and she took them home. The other two meals were the trout and it was very "fishy" tasting and also wasn't finished. The lasagna was piping hot (the only hot meal on the table), but was nothing but globs of meat and cheese, no ricotta to be found in it though. When asked how our meal was by our server, we couldn't fake it. We told her the steaks were awful. She got the manager and Tony came to talk to us. We explained everything to him and he refused to do anything about it or even agree that we had our opinions about what tasted good or bad. When asked, he said he stands behind cold, dry, tasteless steaks. He basically argued with us and told us we were wrong, the meals are fabulous! I told him that I would then leave my own review and he left. So here is my review. Bad food, and absolutely horrible management. In this case, Tony the Manager, believes the customer is WRONG. But the remodel...

This is our third time there. We've had three absolutely delicious meals. Two entree type meals and pizza once. Each time, we were served by professional and courteous staff but tonight's server was just great. Friendly, professional, attentive and efficient. We started with crab cakes - YUM and then had fresh baguettes with herbed butter and salads. I had the homemade Italian dressing and wow. It had a kick to it and WANT THE RECIPE :) By then I was full but I somehow managed to do some serious damage to my entree (cannot remember what it was but it had linguine, fresh basil, tomato, a red sauce, cream and parmesan (could have been other cheeses too). We saved room for dessert and I ordered the made from scratch Heath bar cheesecake that our server expressed interest in trying herself after her shift :) There is nothing better than food made with fresh ingredients by someone who knows how to cook.

The remodel is gorgeous, the place was PACKED and the spirit in the air was true excitement and happy people. I told my husband I would rather spend 3x as much (food is minimally more expensive than "average" here) and have a quality meal with good service than mediocre microwaved food served by someone who is more concerned about their cell phone or what drama happens to be going on in their personal life.

I left with a meal for tomorrow too. Pasta for breakfast? Thank you for a GREAT dinner. We'll be back. For those who leave unfavorable reviews, I have found that having owned two restaurants myself that those who complain the most are usually those who are just unhappy people in their personal lives and feel like a big shot when they can give a bad "anonymous" review. Othertimes, they're disgruntled former employees or have some other ax to grind. I didn't worry about them and I never cared if these people said they weren't coming back. In fact, I was grateful. I also don't want to be seated next to these buffoons - they spoil my experience. Based on the fact that the restaurant is PACKED night after night, if I were the owner, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Those who know good food and who appreciate good service...
