El Charro — Restaurant in Ville Platte

Just left the place a about a hour ago tried it out due to what was said about it. When i made it here it was not to many customers besides the party i was with. The waitress was a bit slow i assume because it was near closing. So we ordered our food it came back pretty quick but which i enjoyed. The only thing that was wrong was the food to me i have had way better mexican food then this place. I ordered a enchilada tamale beans and rice. It was a bit salty and tasteless besides the salt. Usually the chips are hot with the salsa but these were cold and the salsa wasn't even spicy. I'll just say may be the mix up with the food was because they were ready to get off. If I see a better update on the food I might reconsider. After tonight I would say its not such...

I'm giving 3 stars bc I have love this place. We go once a week or every two weeks and always tip very well. Always have good service. Yesterday we almost didn't have any service at all while they just pooled at the register conversing with each other. Only 4 tables had customers. I still tipped but I explained it wasn't as much bc we barely got any service. I was laughed at by the girl with green hair that always wears the same grateful dead shirt (love is real, not fade away) and green pants. Service was horrible. We each ate a whole bowl of hot sauce before our waitress, ever arrived, asked for more hot sauce but never received it. My margarita finally arrived as we were finishing our meal. We asked for to go boxes and our ticket and never received them. We finally walked up front and picked up our own to go boxes, as did the table next to us. My husband had to go up front to pay without a ticket.
