Java On Joe — Restaurant in Vine Grove

I hate to give this place a negative review as it has been our favorite coffee shop in the area for the past year. Unfortunately, since the change in ownership, the quality and consistency has significantly gone downhill. Prior to the change, the coffee was always made perfect and the exact same every visit. For example, there was always almost exactly an inch of cold foam on every coffee. Now, the amount is always different and usually only a very minimal amount. Today’s visit was the final straw, as you could literally barely even see the “cold foam” at all. It didn’t even cover the top of the coffee. I understand that a learning period is to be expected with a change of ownership, but this has been a continuous problem every visit now and considering the cold foam is an extra charge, this aspect should always be consistent and of the same quality as the previous ownership. I really want to be able to give Java on Joe 5 stars again and hope this constructive criticism will be taken into account and used to restore the shop back to its...

It's the flavors roasted INTO the beans for me! It's also the fact that the coffee is french press (tastes better imo). You'll find favorite flavor profiles as well as lesser seen offerings you wish you'd had access to before--Derby Pie, anyone? They have lactose free options. Not sure if there are gluten-free baked goods as I forgot to look.

For those of you looking for somewhere to sit down and get some work/homework done, Java on Joe is has the space. I forgot to check for outlet availability but the seating is generous so come with your battery charged. There's also a plethora of giftable items if you're needing something for yourself or a thank you for a friend.

The owner is lovely as are the staff. She explained that the majority of their ingredients are Kentucky-sourced. Great coffee, good company, supporting local economies, a pleasant place to land... there, you have zero excuses to explain why you haven't...

I was headed to the hospital as my Daddy was having knee replacement surgery and luckily found this GEM! 😍My Momma needed something STRONG and I was looking for a hot, comforting Spiced Chai Tea. I regrettably forget the lady's name who helped me but she said she made her own recipe for her Chai tea.... and it was AMAZING! Seriously THE BEST Spiced Chai Tea I have ever had! My Momma loved her coffee too! I HAD to go back inside and thank her as brag on her homemade chai too!! I love the atmosphere, the employees were fantastic and our drinks absolutely perfect!
