Serene Custard & Miniature Golf — Restaurant in Vineland

I was just here the other day for the first time since the new owners took over. I was kind of shocked and a little disappointed as things were quite different. There used to be a ton of options before and they covered the huge window on the left side of the building, plus things like a special flavor for a certain time period and my favorite, the "Death by Chocolate" sundae. Now, there's a screen for ice cream options that rotates between that and food options. I took a pic of the ice cream options, although "novelties" show up on the food screen. I did mention this to the server and she was friendly and made me a death by chocolate anyway. The rest of the family got something from the current menu choices. It was a bit pricey for the quantity, but it tasted good and is really no worse than any other stand in the area. My daughter enjoyed her ice cream and the ensuing mess on her face while eating it. My son and wife liked their options, and mine was just as good as before. There are benches to sit at, but I preferred sitting in my truck with the a/c running, and I haven't played the mini-golf there, so can't speak to that. But, I plan on returning at some point, which is more than I can say for another custard place that also gained new owners and then immediately cheaped out and...

The ice cream is fine but the mini golf is not great and definitely not worth mini golfing here. The course is old and not maintained well.

There are mud wasps and regular wasps making hives in the cave course, shrubs and trees grow over and into the courses affecting gameplay, and half the water features are still, stagnant water that smells disgusting and has scum growing/floating in it. The holes don’t drain, so if it rains, they are full of dirty water. And the course lawns are old and torn up, also affecting gameplay.

Maybe it was better back in the day when it was newer, but it’s definitely past it’s prime and needs a hard and serious remodel if they want to keep offering mini golf. Will not be returning to play here again, unless it’s...

I absolutely love Ice cream !🍨 And Serene Custard is the ONLY place I know of in south jersey area where I can get #grapenuticecream that is my favorite from ever since I was a kid growing up. So when I moved here I was so elated that I could still get my #1favorite ice cream here. As soon as they are open yearly I am there every weekend grabbing quart of ice cream for my family and I. Keep making it ! , because I am a life long customer. I also enjoy rum and raisin , and other flavors they offer. I also like that they offer rewards after a certain amount of time...
