Grapevine Pizza & Cafe — Restaurant in Violet Township

Disappointed Let’s begin by us admitting that we bought a Groupon for the wrong restaurant. understand we aren’t from Ohio and hadn’t realized there were two restaurants with the same name but different owners. Now, we asked when we sat down before ordering anything if it would be accepted, the server looked at our confirmation email, carefully, and said ‘yes, I’ll just need the number or code’ So, we ordered and ate pretty decent pizza. When it was time to pay she asked for the number and eventually brought out some boss from the back, who informed us we probably bought the wrong coupon.

That’s ok, we are understanding, but we werent offered any sort of discount for the trouble. The server had checked before we ordered. She confirmed it would be accepted. Don’t you think at that point the restaurant has a stake in the problem? This guy was abrupt, and not at all understanding of the situation or their part in the problem. If we’d been told they don’t accept Groupons we would have left and gone to the place we ordered the Groupon for.

No discount, not real apology for her part, nothing.

So... forget it. We won’t be back. Clearly management like that doesn’t deserve any of...

Firstly, my husband has heard raves about their pizza. I didn't want to order from here, it's an unknown, but thought we would try it. I went to their website. The website hasn't been updated for 15 months? The coupons posted expired in March of 2012. So I went to take a look at their menu, as they advertise "delicious dinners." Really? The link to the menu produced nothing. So.....it's pizza! We ordered a pizza with pepperoni and banana peppers. They told us it was a 45 minute delivery time and it was. However, the pizza was just awful! It doesn't appear as if they cooked it very long. The banana peppers were tough and the cheese still look like it was in pieces, instead of having melted. I usually go to the store in Canal Winchester with a friend of mine and have a decent time. However, I went there last night by myself and had one the worst experiences dining out I've ever had. The service was absolutely unacceptable. They weren't busy, but I had to wait extensively to order my food. The 3 servers/bartenders seemed more occupied by getting their night work done then paying attention to me. When my pizza arrived, they did not provide me with the parmesan cheese and hot pepper flakes that they are supposed to. The bartender never asked how my food was. The pizza was undercooked and had way too much sauce on it. I would have asked to speak to a manager, but I never saw one and was unable to get the attention of any of the staff.
