I was at The Jamaica Inn on Monday, 10/10/22 when the bartender Lori yelled at the top of her lungs "BLACK NI*#ER" Apparently this overtly racist behavior is accepted by the owner of this bar because Lori still has a job here. Lori was completely comfortable yelling this while working, from behind the bar, in mixed company, and was rude and indignant when I called her out on it. It is a shame because up until that point I liked the bar. When I spoke with another staff member about the incident on 10/11/22 I was told to "Let it go". I know now that the culture and values of the Jamaica Inn allow a blatant unapologetic racist to remain on the staff and to feel comfortable enough to yell vile racism without any...

I have not been there in quite some time just happened to visit and the reason for the four-star rating is because I didn't really try the food or have much opportunity to really sit and experience the entire event. I did however stop in to get a couple of oyster shooters unfortunately the order was taken incorrectly but I did order unusual oyster shooters with no alcohol or hot sauce. But they were delivered to me in accurately and the wrong count however the manager on duty did correct the issue and issued me two other replacement oysters free of charge. I would consider that 100% excellent...

Not knocking this place personally had an associate who happened to be present with me...he is a bit more of an upscale kinda guy. I would have settled for a meal here but other seemed disinclined 😕. Place is ok but could surely be enhanced. "I" understand that budgets get set for many reasons...place seems great for what and where it is but certainly has room for improvements.
