Brick's Pizza — Restaurant in Virginia

This is our families go to pizza place and we love Bricks! The pizza is delicious, definitely one of the best in the area, and as close to perfection as one could get outside of NYC! However we ordered tonight and something strange happened. We ordered our standard large house special and noticed our pizza came in a medium sized box. To our surprise, although we were charged for a large, it was clearly a medium sized pizza. We called the restaurant to see if this was a case of shrinkflation, or a simple mistake, and the answer we got was so vague that we’ll chalk it up to shrinkflation. They were very sweet, but didn't offer any resolution, and we were left under the impression they are under new management or ownership. It seemed we knew more about their pizza than they did since we’ve been ordering from them for at least 6 years now. Quite frankly the medium sized pizza was never our first pick. It comes overly loaded with cheese and toppings and the crust pretty much evaporates under the weight. The large seemed to be the happy place for a standard NY style pizza. Something was just off about this pizza. It didn’t taste like the same Bricks we’d come to know and love. I actually like the pizza here. My 2 star review relates to the service that I received on 6/21/2025. I ordered pizza via Uber Eats and had to call 3 times to check on the delivery time. That was okay. However, what was not okay is that my order was incorrect. I ended up ordering an entire new order with the correct pizza. Instead of the restaurant correcting the error and giving me a free pizza with the correct order, I paid for the entire new pizza which equaled $73 dollars for two pizzas. The only thing that was offered was extra chicken when the restaurant was responsible for the incorrect order. The second pizza was also more expensive than the first and it was picked up. So I'm not even sure that the "extra chicken" was an upgrade from...

It is surprisingly difficult to find THIN crust pizza. We stumbled upon Brick's one afternoon and ordered the Veggie Thin Pizza.

Wow, what a nice surprise! My husband and I both gobbled down this delicious pizza. The sauce has a slightly sweet flavor and the tomatoes on the pizza add a nice zestiness to the veggies. The crust is a sturdy thin one. The veggie pizza does not have a lot of cheese, which to us makes the saucy flavor stand out.

I had a craving tonight for this pizza so we got it our second time. We loved every bite!
